I Called the Home Depot Warranty number, who sent a repairman over- who stated that he didn't work on Samsung- very convenient. I then had to wait 2 weeks for a new repairman to come. However, the new repairman cancelled last minute and stated it would be another 1-2 weeks before he could come out. I am already going on 3 weeks without a washing machine. I have called the service center at home depot, who just reads from a script and will not address the issue, or make an attempt to get a repairman over sooner. This whole experience is very frustrating and I will never purchase another appliance at Home Depot again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Home Depot Protection Plan am so disgusted with this plan. I have had a broken LG refrigerator for over a month. 2 technicians came out and they still needed another part. While waiting for the 3rd tech visit, they cancelled my appointment over 3 times..then a day before they were supposed to come again, i got an email that my appointment was cancelled with no explanation. I called A&E the tech company and they said they were still coming so I waited all morning - no show! Then I get a call that the part they needed to fix my refrigerator is not available and (they knew this since the last tech visit) yet they kept scheduling visits. They said I will get a replacement refrigerator. But when I called Home Depot they had no knowledge, (even though they gave me numerous approval numbers). I have been calling 3 different people (A&E tech, Assurion, and Home Depot) getting the run around. I ask for supervisors to call me back and they say I have to wait 2 business days!!!! Really? After waiting over a month being scheduled, rescheduled, given false information? Do not busy this plan, they do not live up to helping you!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't do it My refrigerator have been making weird loud noises . Three technicians have been out to "fix" the problem but neither one of them knows what the problem is . I was told they will Lemon out the product after three repairs . The first technician said , it's making the noise because my floor is uneven. Really? Assurion have been giving me the run around , and the customer service reps are no help either. Their favorite line is " I'm sorry , I'm not a technician, so I wouldn't be able to help" I take off work to meet the technician just for them to tell me they don't know what the problem is. Save your self some time and don't purchase this protection plan. Only thing their protecting is the money the have to pay out to Lemon your product.

I have been almost two months without an operating dryer or any kind of assurance from home depot or asurion that my Samsung dry which is still under a 3 year warranty will be repaired. The entire process of communicating with home depot and asurion lack transparency for three reasons. 1. Asurion does not provides relief for broken appointment promises by repairmen or women. 2. Home depot does not follow up on open claims effectively 3. Many of the service company either home depot or asurion contracts do not work on the weekend. If home depot can correct these three problems, I am sure more customer will find their insurance product more useful and less complicated.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Buy !!!! Deserves a -10 Stars We purchased a 5 yr extended warranty on a Samsung washer and dryer 12/2013. The inside of the dryer began to rust and ruin our clothes, the machine was unusable- not functioning properly. I called the 800# to file a claim and was shocked when I was told that rust is not covered. I requested to speak with a Supervisor, this is why I purchased the 5yr warranty for problems like this. Chelsea, the supervisor then explained rust is a cosmetic problem! It is my understanding that cosmetic would suggest the outside of the machine, I am ok with washing my clothes in a machine that has rust on the outside as long as the inside was functional without any rust. The warranty claims to cover functioning parts!! If the parts are rusted inside the machine and you can no longer use it I would define that as a non functional appliance part . The answer I got from Chelsea was the cosmetic rust on the inside of my machine is not covered and she further explained that it is also the upkeep that can be a problem! My advice, go to Atlantic City and throw $120 in a slot machine and don't waste your time and money on a warranty that will not cover your appliance. I plan on taking this issue further, Bait and Switch!
