What if it just won't start/crank? - am I covered?

I've purchased 2 of the Toro self-propelled mowers in the past 5 years. In both instances they were advertised (with stickers on the hood of the mower engines) as "guaranteed to start," and after the first season, the mowers wouldn't crank. Of course, there's no choke or primer and I just pull and pull until my arm nearly falls off. I took it into the Home Depot where I purchased it and they suggested I ship it back to Toro (yes, ship it . . . ) and wanted to charge me $50+ to "check it out" at the local store. I didn't get the joke. If I buy this protection plan and the mower I purchase won't start next fall, will it cover getting the mower started next by the local team? If so, that will be worth it. Thanks.

Hello - thanks for your question. The protection plan covers the unit for failures due to many reasons. But the basic premise of the plan is that it will ensure the product works as it is designed to. As long as there is no clear evidence of tampering or accidental damage, then the mower would be repaired or replaced for its purchase price with no out of pocket expenses to you, the customer. extended warranty

I purchased the mower Model # RY40170, and 3 extended warranty. The mower is warranty for 5 years. After 5 years, is my extended warranty start? (for example-purchased mower 12/21/2015- manufacture warranty to 12/21/2020, so the extended warranty starts 12/22/2020 to 12/21/2023??)

Hello, your understanding is correct. If your manufacturer warranty lasts for 5 years, the HDPP plan will begin after it expires (5 years from your purchase date), and last for 3 years after. Hope this helps. The HDPP Team

30% reimbursement of select maintainance parts. What parts exactly are included? Blades? Plugs? What else? Kinda vague.

I called the customer care line about this, regarding an electric lawn mower, and was advised that covered parts include batteries, belts, blades, spark plugs and tires, to name a few. There is also a maximum limit of $500 worth of parts purchases throughout the life of the plan, that can be covered. Also, you should receive the terms and conditions of the plan, when you purchase the product/plan and this information should be included in that. Hope that is helpful!
