Should the Home Depot extended warranty cover a carburetor?

We were told that the extended warranty did not cover the carburetor because the ethanol in the gas pitted the carburetor. When I called Home Depot I was told that a carburetor was not covered. Very Confused.... when we bought the warranty, we were told that the only thing not covered was normal wear and tear items ( Belts, blades, seat) Am I wrong to think that the Carburetor is mechanical?

First you must understand that the Home Depot warranty starts AFTER the manufacturers warranty ends.
You get "free pick up and delivery service" which implies they will take it to a shop for repairs...no in home service.

So you would have to read the manufacturers warranty of the mower you are buying to see if they provide in home service, I would suspect they don't, but if they do then the warranty should also.
It is very rare if not impossible to find in home repair on mowers. Most want you to transport the mower to the shop or they will charge you if you want them to pick up and deliver. Read Less
