How are repairs handled

If i need repairs covered by this plan what happens? do i have to haul my mower to a home depot to have it diagnosed or do they have techs in the field simular to sears repair

For me, the idea of delivery/pickup and having Home Depot stand behind repairs pushed me over the edge to buy my John Deere d140 at Home Depot. I was wrong. I purchased my tractor in April of 2015. In August of 2016, the front wheels were out of alignment with the steering wheel. August, September, and October were just trying to arrange to have a company pickup my tractor. Home Depot/Asurion incorrectly scheduled me with 3 different repair facilities that either didn’t do pickup or were booked and not taking service appointments. For one of these, I took a day off of work for an all day pick-up appointment only to learn after calling the service company they no longer did repairs for Home Depot. By November, my tractor was having problems starting. I was finally put in touch with a company that could pick up my tractor in December. This service company also missed two appointment windows. When I called to find out what happened, they told me that I should never have bought my tractor at the Home Depot in the first place. I told this to Home Depot/Asurion and the company came the next day to finally pick up my tractor. After having my tractor for 2 1/2 weeks, the service company left me a message that I needed to spend $500 to have my tractor “serviced” without any specific parts or labor itemized. When I contacted John Deere, they informed me that the company Home Depot/Asurion had set me up with was not an authorized John Deere servicer. As of today, I had my tractor returned, unrepaired, and am awaiting a refund for this extended warranty. I wish I had known this before basing my decision to purchase the tractor at Home Depot on the promise of the extended warranty. I hope this story is helpful to you.

Does warranty cover in home service or do I have to take mower to service center?

First you must understand that the Home Depot warranty starts AFTER the manufacturers warranty ends. You get "free pick up and delivery service" which implies they will take it to a shop for in home service. But, the warranty also says "If in-home service is provided for the full term of your manufacturer’s warranty, then it will be provided under this Plan. If in-home service is not provided, we will pay for the cost of shipping your product back for repair or replacement." So you would have to read the manufacturers warranty of the mower you are buying to see if they provide in home service, I would suspect they don't, but if they do then the warranty should also. It is very rare if not impossible to find in home repair on mowers. Most want you to transport the mower to the shop or they will charge you if you want them to pick up and deliver.

Is there an hour limit to the warranty?

In other words is the warranty null if the working hours exceed a certain limit?

How many hours per year are covered?

I have read others reviews about a max number of hours per year for the warranty to be effective. Ex: I used the riding mower for 72 hours in a given year and something breaks but the warranty details something to the effect that the warranty only covers up to 60 hours per year. Does this warranty have any stipulations such as this?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from our new Cub Cadet 46 inch tractor We are cutting approx. 1 acre, and had great success from HD on our last Scotts John Deer, with a Kohler motor. Over 15 yrs of great service !!! So we went back to HD ... Sixes Rd.... and purchased this from the asst store mgr, Rodney - great guy to work with, we were so pleased and haven't had the first minutes problem with it. . Great Value for the money, great
