Garbage. This magnet tape will barely even hold its own weight when stuck to metal let alone hold up a piece of paper. If you buy this then you get what you deserve.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Putterer Important information for use
When using the magnetic tape on both facing surfaces, you must place the tape pieces (cut from the same tape) in OPPOSITE directions. if placed in same direction as when cut, the pieces will partially repel each other and then stick together off center (one reviewer suggested cutting off the overlap). When oriented appropriately, the strips will attract each other on center, giving a stronger connection. Before use, unroll the tape and let the curve relax (can try gently rolling it up in opposite direction, for a while), to minimize or eliminate curling.

magnetic side holds well, but the glued side needs improvement. the glue needs more holding power.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Terrell Very weak magnetism
This magnetic tape is very weak, it can barely hold itself to the metal of my car. And that's not moving. The curl of the tape from being in a roll causes the tape to pull away from the metal surface - that's how weak the magnet is. If you use a very long strip, it will hold. But barely. Since it has a hard time holding itself, it will not hold anything else that has much weight. You might try the 1" wide tape, which might hold better.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by liddy is not magnetized
My plan was to use this inside my bathroom cabinet for small metal items such as hair clips, nail clippers, tweezers, etc. none of them held on the strip! there was a slight attraction but not enough to hold these very small items on it. I thought maybe I got a bad one from the store, so I ordered one on line without any better results.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 023434 have to align magnetic fields for use on shower door
if you are using the strips to hold a shower door, you have to cut the strip at 5 feet and place the magnetic surfaces together and let the magnetic fields align to each other. Once aligned trim off the portion that overlaps on each strip. Adhere one strip to the door, then place the magnetic strips together , remove the tape and close the door so the other strip will adhere with the magnetic fields aligned. After doing all this the product works good. If you don't do all this the door will be repelled when you try to close.Product not designed for the purpose I used it.
