I purchased this paper to cover bad looking walls. I spent hours papering a very large room. When I stood back and really looked you could see all the imperfections of the bad walls under the paper. As a widow I admit I sat and cried. I had every intentions of hiring someone to come and strip it off. Then something surprising happened. After a few days it must have dried because it ended up looking beautiful. The instruction says to immerse this paper in water which saturates it. I believe that is why it can look bumpy and wrinkled when first applied. Just keep in mind that all of that goes away after it thoroughly dries. I used the beadboard style and it now looks beautiful!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beans Perfect for 100+ year old walls!
Transformed walls with multi- layers of wallpaper and areas bare to the plaster & lath. Inside and outside corners look better than they ever have. You have to LOOK for the seams! Used activator instead of water, booked for 5 minutes and it went up like a dream. Also, after getting it up we decided not to paint it. Has been up about a month now. Couldn't be more pleased.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by palavering This textured wallpaper is great!
This wallpaper will cover a plethora of cracks in your wall or wallpaper. It can't cover every fault, but it does a great job. Be sure to follow the included instructions! Little bubbles may not disappear immediately. I used a soft, smooth squidgy to smooth out any ripples. I barely put any pressure on the wallpaper. The little bubbles that wouldn't go flat, I left alone. The next day they were gone. In some cases, one day may not be enough. Be patient; it could take two or three days. This wallpaper also has an elegant look to it. I am very pleased--and I never have liked wallpaper or the way it usually looks!

This wallpaper is awesome. I've hung more rolls of wallpaper than I can count. I have experience with what they call 'fresco'. Very textured and heavy. Not always an easy experience. When I received this paper the first thing I noticed was that the rolls were so small. I thought this couldn't be 33 ft long. And when I rolled it out it seemed flimsy to me compared to what I was used to. But then I put it up easy peasy and the edges actually stuck. Not flimsy at all to handle, went up and stayed up like a dream. I confess, I don't follow the instructions. I DON"T put it in water. I use prepasted wallpaper paste liberally. Just roll it on, book it, let it set a few minutes, and badda bing, up it goes. I'm doing the entire kitchen with this paper -- then painting, except for the slant of the ceiling up to 14 ft, it'll be a breeze.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by troika Interesting product.
It worked out for me. I've never hung wall paper before, but was tired of doing dry wall and decided to do a little section of my basement with this and paint it to match the other walls.
It looks pretty good now. A little vinyl-y, but good.
It was easy to hang.
It did cut down on the dust and mess that finishing would have produced.
It's more plastic-y than I thought it would be, like shelf paper.
Some corners wouldn't stick cleanly on their own. Not a big deal, when I primered, i stuck them down with the primer and paint.
It took A LOT of paint to cover. I primered, just to try to soften the texture, then really 3 coats on top of the primer before I couldn't see spots that didn't take paint.
Less work than having finished the drywall? Maybe, toss up. Less mess for sure, but maybe not less work.
Looks? So-So, okay for my project.

I live in an older home with damaged dry wall. I bought this as an attempt to cover up the bad spots and still be able to paint the color I wanted. The first night I only put up one strip of paper to test it. When I woke up in the morning, it was laying on the floor. Day 2, I put up several strips using wallpaper glue. I could see every imperfection on the drywall. I took it down and am going to attempt to return it. Maybe it will work for you, but it wasn't even close to what I expected.

Purchased this product because we took down some old wall paper in a house we had just purchased and the walls were in horrible shape. We just wanted a plain painted wall, but there was no amount of sanding that was going to fix this mess.I hate wall paper and I vowed that I would never put up wall paper again, but after trying to smooth out the bumps in the wall to no avail, I decided to try to find something neutral to try to cover up the horrible wall. I came across this textured paper. It says it can be painted but we just left it white as this was the color we wanted. It went up relatively easily and looks terrific. The difference between the old bumpy walls and this is day and night. You would never know the walls were a mess underneath. Everything looks smooth and flat, except for the simple texture to the paper. Great for covering up crummy walls. Really looks good. Good price too.

This paper is advertised as remain white or paint, but it had black and caramel stains on it, luckily I planned on painting it. I put it up as per instructions and the next morning it was hanging from the walls. It peeled right back off. I had to go to the hardware store and buy Suregrip to put on the paper before I rehung it. I have hung alot of wallpaper and this is the first time this has ever happened. Needless to say I was not happy.
