Customer Reviews

Rated 2.8 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by rain guage I ordered three units, but was shipped six. I don't know what I'm going to be charged for, but certainly intend to return all units. Two didn't work at all; the remote units would not communicate with the base unit. Three have not been evaluated. One (sort of) worked, but is so inaccurate, I cannot accept it. I mounted it on the same pole as a certified US weather service rain guage and we just had a fairly decent rain. The certified unit measured 2.09 inches; the reviewed product indicated 1.61 inches. This is almost 23% off and is unacceptable. January 16, 2010
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Intermittent failures out-of-the-box This item has never worked for me, sometimes it seems to start and then lapses into intermittent failures. The only time it communicates is when the sender and receiver are in the same room, certainly not 300 feet. I tried to contact the customer support. It doesn't seem to exist. Their support page lists third-party support-for-hire for many kinds of hardware, but nothing is for the rain gauge. Spare yourself the frustration, and buy an old-fashioned manual rain gauge. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rain Gauge As te others said, worked once. LaCrosse sent me 3 pages of things to do. NOTHING WORKED!!!! Their reply send it back at your expense. Cost $7.00 to return, Can't wait to hear what the say. LaCrosse had great products and warranties. Now every thing is JUNK. This is the my last purchase from La Crosse. I have better things to spend my $$ on. June 9, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Inaccurate by up to 50% I installed this gauge according to directions and put it right beside a standard gauge to check its accuracy. It always under-reported rainfall by 30-50%, despite extra attention to see that the gauge was level, installed in an open location, and in accordance with directions. A waste of money. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I am very satisfied with my 'Weather Channel Rain Gauge'. I like the past 24 hour total feature as well as the 'to date' total that can be reset at the touch of a button. This gauge should provide an accurate measurement of rainfall, if there is ever again rain in north Texas. January 4, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wireless Raingauge great gift I bought this as a gift for my dad. He has called me several times telling me how much rain it has recorded and that it empties itself and he can do this from inside and not get wet. He is really happy with it. December 27, 2007
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Due to my past career in fire control (wildfires) I have always had an interest in the weather. This rain gauge has proven it's self to be accurate and easy to work with. December 27, 2007
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value Took awhile to understand data collection rules for last 24 hours of rainfall. Would like to have data available for week or month, but for price it does what it claims. August 25, 2011
