It wrinkles easily when rolled and unrolled. Its a pain. Should have bought the uplevel one. You get what you pay for.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Kadams333 Keeps the heat in
This cover does keep the heat in . It does not have anyway to attach it to the reel. My old cover had an attachment method. I had to roll the cover around the spool without a way to attach it to the spool.

Could the ratings be any smaller?
POLYAIR owns this product, in Canada. You MUST talk to this company for any problems with your purchase.
It was purchased for about $82, and installed in May 2014. The cover lasted until Aug 2015. This is the first time a cover I have purchased, only lasted 1 year. This is out of 5 covers. My pool chem.s are on, all the time.
Contacted the Polyair company in Aug, sent in sample in Sep. 2015, they responded Nov 2015.
Here is their math:
$ 74.99 DIVIDED BY 36 TOTAL MONTHS OF WARRANTY = $2.0830555 prorated
Your claim was submitted to Polyair on 09/21/15. Starting from your
purchase date, you have used 16 months on your warranty.
$2.0830555 x 16 months used (at the time your claim was submitted) =
$33.32888... > $33.33 replacement
36 total months warranty - 17 months (currently) used = 19 months left on
May14-Aug15 = 16 months
20 months left * $2.0830555 = $41.66
----- shipped to me -----
They said about $55 for freight, they have no control over this.
To get a new cover:
55 + 33.33 = 88.33
Freight + for new cover
Oh yeah sign me up!
I decided to run away and not look at any of their products for a very long time.
Polyair is now blacklisted.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Larz Does exactly what I needed to do.
Just wanted to extend the swimming season a couple months in the spring and fall. Used mostly to keep the heating costs down until the sun takes over. So far so good.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gladiola It was easy to cut with a pair of ordinary large scissors. I marked the outline of the pool water line with a marker first.
The product is light in weight and came in a big cardboard box. The color, light blue is very complimentary to the surroundings. The cover becomes quite heavy after rain or if some of the pool water sits on the top. I am not sure how to remove the cover quickly, to allow daily pool dipping. I actually use the pool less now, because of this.
The water temperature is definitely warmer, hovering between 80-82 degrees. The outside temperature goes down to about 65 degrees at night.
I noticed how remarkably CLEAN the pool water is now, and the chemicals do retain their strength longer.
Customer Service was fabulous. Anyone I called and asked, ran to the receiving dept. to see if the cover had arrived. Then, I received phone calls the minute the package was discovered.

Not a professional cover, but, enough to personal use.

Good quality product, keeps water clean and warm. Also saves money on water and chemicals (Chlorine in my case) use.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JC723 Does not last and Home Depot won't return or exchange
I purchased this solar cover for my inground pool almost 2 years ago. The product comes with a 3 year warranty along with Home Depot usually being good with returns if the product is defective. I tried returning the cover today because this entire summer it has been shedding plastic all over the place. So when I take the cover off my water, I have pieces of the solar cover all over the place that I have to clean out or have it clog up my filter. Home Depot would not return my item because they apparently couldn't find the SKU they said to do so. I still have my receipt from my online purchase and the warranty tag is still on the solar cover. I asked if I could just exchange it then for a new one and they said no because the product isn't carried in the store (online only) therefore an exchange was not possible. So I'm left with a solar cover that's going in the trash. I am very unsatisfied with Home Depot's Customer Service since I have the receipt and the warranty, they wouldn't allow me to get a refund, an exchange or store credit! And yes, I spoke to the manager and someone they called on the phone as well with Online Sales.
