Customer Questions & Answers

How is it shipped?

I'm thinking about ordering this and picking it up in the store to avoid the high shipping cost. Does it come rolled in a long tube, or folded up in a large box?
Asked by: blc9171
Like the previous answer stated, it comes rolled in a box. It was small enough to fit in the back seat of my economy car.

So, which way do the bubbles really go?

I know this question was asked before, but the two answers it got contradicted each other! Not sure whether to take the more grammatically correct one or not. (smile) Does anyone really know? Thanks.
Asked by: PoolGuy
The bubbles go down. You want the bubbles to be what is touching the water. This is what heats up your pool

Customer Reviews

18 ft. x 36 ft. 3-Year Rectangular Blue In-Ground Solar Pool Blanket is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pool is getting warmer every day!! I live in southern California and despite our perfect weather my swimming pool is just too cold most of the year. I purchased this cover in April and in less then 1 week my pool temp has gone from 74 to 79. Its not even really warm outside but I also should point out the solar covers mostly warm up the surface water, so when you stick a hand or foot it it feels like bath water but when you dive in its going to be cold. This cover is the same one sold in Leslie Pool stores for over $200 for this size, I priced solar covers for a few months and HD price cant be beat if you have the item shipped to the nearest store for free.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worked well the first season, then fell apart Yes, I read the warranty. NO, I did not abuse the product or misuse it or store it improperly. My pool is professionally cleaned and chemed. The warranty is a joke. The product failed, bubbles began to flake off, after just one season of use. It was stored in the garage out of the sun when not being used. To utilize the 3 year warranty, after it failed during the 1st year, I would have to pay shipping, both ways, to get a replacement. That would probably cost more than the product itself.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Get something else! Ordered the cover because price was good and reviews were too. This is the thinnest solar cover I've ever seen! Don't even know if it's 8mil thick or even less. Don't want the hassle of returning it so I'll use till it falls apart which shouldn't take long. Im afraid to pull on it because it's so thin. Never again!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from better that the ones from pool stores, better price Well the cover is blue and plastic. The plastic blue cover heats the pool good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Solar Pool Blanket This Solar Pool cover has heated my pool to about ~90 degrees with the ambient temp being around ~75*. I generally take the cover off on Fridays and leave it off until Tuesdays (when pool guy comes). The temp will drop to low 80's over the 4 days the cover is off but will quickly heat back up ~10+ degrees in a few days. This cover drastically reduced evaporation as well. Overall great product definitely does what it's supposed to do. I live in San Diego, CA so when there is a marine layer it won't heat the pool as quickly - obviously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart decision and saving $$$$$ Delivered on time and was the best investment for 2014. maintains a temperture of approx 88-89 degrees and saving me tons $$$ on my heat pump operating costs. I custom cut solar cover to fit my pool shape and it was a breeze. Smartest thing Ive done this year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just as good Went with the cheaper solar cover this time since even the expensive ones I have purchased get destroyed by our desert sun and start to fall apart. So far so good, works just as well, the pool was 86 degrees last time I got in!
