WarmFilm is ideal for new construction or when remodeling to make any room in the house cozier and more comfortable. Use WarmFilm to heat or supplement any room, addition or basement. Installing a warm floor couldn’t be easier. Select the mat lengths that best fit your room. Simply roll out WarmFilm mats on a suitable underlayment, cover with a moisture barrier, lay the floor and connect to the thermostat and power. If needed, the mats can be cut to length on site with household scissors. There are no heating wires to accidentally cut or short-circuit. No step-down transformers, on-site splice connections or special tools are required. Underlayment and moisture barriers are purchased separately.

  • Standard mat widths and lengths are stocked for immediate shipment and easy on-site fitting to any floor
  • Combine multiple mats to fit your desired heated area up to 160 sq. ft. per thermostat (purchased separately)
  • Add a power module (purchased separately) to increase your heated area in increments up to 160 sq. ft. each
  • Factory-attached, hermetically sealed lead wires connect to household 110/120 Voltage

I would like to install these over concrete floor and then place Traffic Master Allure Ultra on top. I believe I read a post that something should be placed between the two.

Answer:
Hi Lindaquak,
Allure allows radiant heating under its flooring, however they require the heating elements be 1/2 inch below the flooring.
The use of the WarmFilm is not approved by the manufacturer of Allure flooring.

Answer:
You didn't specify the substrate that the 'plank adhesive flooring' was, but I'm assuming that you meant vinyl, like Allure by TrafficMaster.
The floor heating film didn't say it was rated for vinyl floors on our website, but you can contact Thermosoft, the makers of this radiant heat flooring, at 800.308.8057 to verify.

I am installing a sound deadening foam (Floor Muffler Model # 0264049) under a high quality engineered hardwood. Can I use this product with that system?

Also, would this layer go over the sound deadening film or under it?

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by worth the investment I ordered the floor heating film and the oj microline udg-4999 therostat with class A GFCI 120-220 VAC 15a. for my newly re made kitchen to go under my new floating len. flooring The discription of the film is a little confusing on the web sight. I thought it was going to be like a 1/16 thick but it's actually only about .010 thick! No need to adjust your padding for this product. Very user friendly very well built. It has a marking about every inch that you can cut this film to make it shorter to fit any space that's like 3ft by something. If this works like its supposed to i am going to install it in my bathroom and bedroom. I have a gass log in my fireplace but i hardly use it because my living room will get all warm and turn the thermastate off and the rest of the house gets cold. So now here is a solution to that because every room has it's own thermestate. Looks like it is worth the investment! April 21, 2016
