Customer Questions & Answers

Can I drill an additional hole in the top if necessary?

Can I drill an additional hole in the top if necessary?
Asked by: moonie
Howdy moonie, Yes acrylic can be drilled into to make additional holes. Here is how to do it: 1. Make a divot (so the drill doesn't walk) 2. Drill a pilot hole with a small bit 3. Finish with a hole saw bit Perhaps buying a similar sink with holes already pre-drilled would be a better option? Happy sinking, Coach Dave

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful sink, receives lots of compliments This is a very attractive sink and it adds so much to my kitchen. It is a great value as well at only $126 with free shipping! I paired with an oil rubbed bronze faucet and added matching drains. I had someone tell me they could not stop looking at my sink. :) I can not speak for how long it will last but I wouldn't expect more than 2 years from a $126 sink. I had rather pay less and replace more often so that it always looks fresh and new. My mother paid a fortune for a porcelain sink and it was so heavy it was dropped and chipped while being installed. The weight will also warp your countertops and cabinets in time so you have to be careful. I am very happy with my purchase! I attached a picture with the faucet so you can see how it looks. I have no idea why it is sideways, I have posted it on other sites and it appears right side up. Sorry about that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased I am So pleased with this sink I don’t know where to start. I wanted to change out my stainless steel double bowl sink for something more stylish I looked at many double bowl sinks in the stores and on the computer. I chose the Thermocast. I notice that the Thermocast drain design was the same as the sink I was replacing. The majority of the sinks had the drain further to the back which would require much change in the drain pipes and the waste disposer would be a problem because the drain was so close to the back wall of the cabinet. I purchased the Thermocast double bowl Chesapeake kitchen sink and installed it myself The sink was lightweight and easy to handle. I installed a single handle faucet, the flange for the insinkerator, stainless steel sink strainer and a soap dispenser. The Manufacture recommended a clear silicone seal around the edge of the sink and it worked beautifully. I connected the disposer after I sealed the sink so the sink would not be to heavy to handle. I am so pleased with this sink. It looks a lot like porcelain, the bowl is deeper than my previous sink which makes it easy to soak a pan from the oven. And with this style, I noticed that when the water reaches to the top, instead of spilling over onto the floor it drains into the other sink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a sink Purchased this sink to replace a standard brushed metal unit. This sink has a nice finish, is a couple of inches deeper than some (9") but was a little less wide in the actual bowl (we had to buy a new dish drainer). We keep a sink scratch guard on the bottom so if a pan gets tossed rather than placed it won't be as likely to scratch. Very happy with this sink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A beautiful sink! I initially selected this sink because it was one of the few I could find with 5 holes. Now that I've seen it, I would have purchased it on design alone; it's absolutely beautiful! Most kitchen sinks just look like sinks; this sink, with the design around the top, looks like a decorative piece in the kitchen rather than just a functional sink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the looks of this sink! I debated about getting an acrylic sink, but the light weight contributed to my decision since I was paying for shipping. I love the deeper bowls and more uniform cut. My previous sinks were more shallow and irregular shaped. The finish on this is great. Just wipes clean, and doesn't stain like my old sink. The ridges that act as decoration also help "funnel" the water you splash back into the sink. Because it is a softer surface, if you hit the side with a glass or dish, it doesn't chip or break it. I am careful about not putting hot pans on the surface, I do let them cool a bit before placing in sink. I am a happy customer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY THIS SINK This sink will NOT stand up to daily, normal use. The thin, cheap, fiberglass finish EASILY chips and melts, stains appear from everyday food (tomato, mustard), grease sticks - impossible to clean with ordinary household products. Overall, a waste of money, installation costs, and the effort to create a clean, functional kitchen. Better to invest in a good stainless or porcelain sink.
