Answer:
Yes you can. This is how I have my two ceiling fans operating now. However, I have a dimmer switch for the lights. So I have a seperate switch and I don't have it function with the remote control. Cliff

Answer:
Yes, you can keep your existing wall switch. When the wall switch is in the on position, the remote will operate the fan speeds (plus off) and provide dimming/on/off control for the light. If you flip the light switch to the off position, both the fan and light will tun off.

Answer:
This fan cannot be mounted flush to the ceiling, but it can be installed without the downrod. In this configuration, the overall height is 21-1/4".

Answer:
According to your description, you have two circuits coming into the electrical box. In this situation, you will not be using the second circuit, so place a wire nut on the red wire since it will not be used.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Provence 54in old iron crackle ceiling fan I replaced the fan in my dinning room and bedroom with this item. I wanted quality and I was not disappointed. The fan is extreamly quite and powerful. It comes with a remote control that works the fan and light. However, I took the light off the remote contol and put a dimmer switch to the light. I have to work this manually but still worth it. There is only one draw back to this fan, there are only two candle lights in the decorative glass bowl. It limits my ability to switch the lights out with something brighter or eco friendly - Green. Other than this minor short comming my wife and I love it and highly recommend this item if you want quality in your home. August 17, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hire an installer I have installed 12-15 fans in my lifetime. This was easily the most difficult. Installing the motor assembly to the base was tedious due to the amount of wires and the remote receiver that must be forced into place. Same with the lighting kit. Also, the three tiny screws that hold up the lighting assembly will astound you. I bought two of these and both were equally frustrating. My kids learned new words this weekend. Instructions were lacking in detail. October 23, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product is simply beautiful. I received my item very quick. It's heavy, so I had to borrow muscle power. Once we got it up I cant stop looking at it. Its bold, quite, yet beautiful. Im very satisfide. October 30, 2012
