We purchased the Thomasville Palmetto Estates dinning and seating sets last July. The furniture looked great after hours of assembling.
Unfortunately, the furniture started to crack on the chairs and table, and gotten worse quickly. We sent pictures and contacted Thomasville for replacement pieces, but Thomasville wasn't responsive. We were very disappointed. Everyday we discovered more and more cracks, and came to realize that the wood quality is not strong enough for the outdoor environment. After a few complains to Home Depot , the customer service was helpful at the end. Finally, Home depot arranged the return and made refund to us in September.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Pman Poor quality, terrible support
I do not recommend buying this set. I wanted quality outdoor furniture and thought the Thomasville name would be the answer. After the first season of use (summer 2011), I noticed that the wicker had cracked in several locations on one of the chairs. I contacted the manufacturer (it's not Thomasville) and have been getting the run around for months: phone messages are not return, emails get lost or ignored, attachments mysteriously disappear, employees that "no longer work here" (requiring you to start all over). I've heard it all except..."we'll take care of that for you." This is NOT a company that stands behind their product, nor is it high quality.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TimTheHandyGuy My indoor furniture stands up to weather better
We purchased this furniture last summer. Some of the holes weren't drilled right, but I was able to fix that fine. Very attractive set.
However one season of rain and all of the wood is splitting, and the finish is coming off. This furniture cannot stand up to the outdoors any better than most indoor furniture.
So unless you are planning on keeping it inside, I would say stay away from this product, and any other product from Thomasville.

I think I spoke too fast......Within a week of giving five star to this product, I got a surprise! We had couple of rains and my patio set has already started to crack. The wood has started to chip and cracks have developed on the table as well as on the legs! I am so dissapointed......I did not believe the earlier review and now I wish, I had paid more attention! I did not expect this quality from a Thomasville brand!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by buckeye2010 Palmetto dining set
We have had our dining set for 3 months. We loved the design and the good looking appeal. It's heavy and would think that it would last for years to come. After 3 months and very little wear, we have noticed cracking in the wood table legs, chair legs and table top. Some areas of the top of the table looks like it might start to peal. I'm extremely disappointed at how it is looking and worried about the longevity of the product. We love Thomasville furniture and was expecting high quality patio furniture as well. This furniture is made for the outside. We have gotten far less rain than normal and plenty of sunshine. I hoped this furniture would have weathered better than this. Again it's only been 3 month old..

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Clairespo We are so disappointed in this set .....
We purchased this Thomasville set last summer when it was on sale and were so excited. We received the set and one chair came broken - we were advised to contact Thomasville directly and they sent out the replacement pieces, so no particular hassles there. Unfortunately, within weeks of owning this set, we started noticing small cracks on the chairs and table. We then noticed the table top wood stain started to come off! Now, we are on the east coast and this was just ONE SUMMER of use - we then wrapped up the pieces for the winter and when we brought them back out for this summer, in order to use the set, my husband has already sanded the table and repainted it - not to mention we keep finding more and more cracks in the set! Please do not waste your money and purchase this set as we made such a mistake in going by the Thomasville name and we have ended up spending far too much in time, money and maintenance.. :( ... I would only recommend this set if you were going to be keeping it inside - and even THAT'S a stretch!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by encinitaschris Finally the perfect patio set
My wife and I looked everywhere for a patio set for two months and finally found it here at the HomeDepot.com Made of sustainable wood, it looks fantastic. Seats are comfortable although if you have heavy friends or family it's worth noting that the seats have a weight limit of 250 lbs. The table is a snap to put together while the chairs require some work. Comes with plenty of touch up paint, too. Shipping took a few weeks but we were in no rush. Totally worth it!
