We used this to coat my sister's small deck at her trailer. We first pressure washed the deck, then used Thompson's WaterSeal to coat it. It was very easy to apply. We used paintbrushes and all tackled it together. A gallon went a long way! Even though we are not experts, the coating seemed to be even and it looked nice when we were done. So far it has been holding up great. I have not seen any kind of fading or issues with it.

Thompsons clear multi purpose sealer is great for so many things. wood, concrete, decks fencing etc... very easy to apply. I applied it using my small hand sprayer as well as my large pump sprayer, After power washing my deck in front of the brick oven I stained it, Then coated with a liberal coat of thompsons... wiped it in with a mop that I use just for this, (it saves a lot of bending) and left to dry..Now I know my wood will look good and preserve better for the next three to five years... this summer Im gonna do my back deck with it. But will probably use the Thompsons with the built in stain and waterproofing as the color has faded, This is a great product and a real time saver and cuts down on maintenance

I would suggest if you are looking for a high quality sealer, you will not have to look any further, what a super product. Thompson products have always been high on my list, this one is no different. When it suggest you will be able to use on multiple surfaces , you most certainly can .....I asked my son to built me a wishing well, using this product to seal the wood, as it will be left outdoors in every type of weather.... I am so pleased with the results.... A product you can count on.

Our sidewalks get stained from the iron in the water when the sprinklers are running. The iron in the water rusts, so the rust stains set in. Getting the rust stains off of the concrete sidewalks is no easy task and takes multiple pass overs to remove the staining. After so much work, sealing the concrete to prevent future staining is worth while. The Thompson's WaterSeal waterproofer works well as it is formulated to work on concrete among other surfaces. The application is easy once you read the instructions and each gallon covers a good stretch of sidewalk. So far, no recent rust stains have set in

Wanting my little shops’ bare wood to be protected from the elements. I applied Thomson’s Water Seal Clear Multi-Surface to the clean walls, ceiling and floor. I used a cloth mop for the ceiling to help prevent drips, a pump type sprayer for the walls and floor. It spread evenly throughout. the WaterSeal appeared whitish at first but has dried to a nice clear finish. I needn't worry about the drying temperature (apply above 50` and above 40` for drying) here in North Florida not do for a cold spell for a few weeks.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by cc Do not use this as it has ruined my pavers
When I read the reviews there was a mix, bad to good. I had used this product many many years ago so I thought I would ignore the low ratings. Well the product is horrible, it has the white shading all over my pavers. I got out and scrubbed some of it off. Now in the cold weather and rain it has come back. WARNING STAY AWAY from this product it will make you cry when it gives that whitish color to your stone, brick or cement.

I had a new western red cedar privacy fence to waterproof before the upcoming Iowa winter, so I chose Thompson's Clear WaterSeal-- I want to maintain the look and color of the cedar as much and as long as I can. Several neighbors have used their products with impressive results, soThompson's was my first choice.
Once you get past the smell of their sealer, the waterproofer applies easily, albeit messily-- even after ensuring it's mixed thoroughly, the seal is on the watery, milky side, so be prepared for some splashing & dripping. And don't be skimpy, make sure you give it a good coat. It applies equally well with brush or roller (which you'll want to use if you're covering fence panels or large areas) and dries quite quickly.
A couple of days after I finished the fence, I took the garden hose and sprayed the fence to see what would happen-- absolutely nothing. The water ran off the panels like a newly-waxed car. Nice-- hopefully, the Iowa winter rain & snow will do the same. So far, so good.
