Hello David, fair enough question. And YES you can use this on pressure treated wood. It will take a bit longer to soak into the wood though. On a nice Sunny Day with low humidity I have noticed my treated wood sucks this stuff deep inside. I Love this Stuff! Hope this helped.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good fence stain - bad deck stain Applied the stain last September after power wash and letting dry thoroughly. Applied with Wagner Sprayer. Picture below is of results after eight months. Getting ready to do deck over. I live in Central Oregon with 11 inches of moisture a year and snow on the ground for maybe 30-45 days a year. There is just something wrong with this products durability. The fence behind the deck is fine - the deck is unacceptable. May 1, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gorgeous This paint stain is a beautiful, natural looking color. I wanted something that would show the original fence for a natural look, not painted looking. This is perfect. We used a paint spraying gun to apply & it was soo easy! One gallon did about 40ft of a 6ft tall fence. May 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Waterproofing Stain is OUTSTANDING & Nice Color Too! When looking for a waterproofing stain Thompson WaterSeal Waterproofing Stain stands out because of the color choices & ease of use. As you can see the back stoop was never sealed & this Maple Brown hid a few wood scars. The Stain went on easily & very quickly. Was able to get between boards with a brush because the stain is less thick than paint but more fluid than just plain stains or waterproofing liquids. When it came to clean up, it was a breeze! Soap & water cleaned the Roller & Brush quickly. The dry time is quick also. Before writing this review the tackiness was a dry surface with a hint of moisture but not sticky in any way. Made the back stoop look much better. A little went a long way too! Now if it only was a little less expensive... August 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great protection for outdoors I used this on my worn deck seat and picnic table. They were stained many years ago and I want to protect them for a few more years of use. This covered the old stain and blended with the old color to make a weathered look. I can't believe how it smoothed out the feel of the wood and sealed all the cracks in the wood! It even makes it feel smooth again like new wood instead of dry & ruff. Hoping for a few less splinters too! Highly recommend this and there was almost no smell at all. Cleaned up the brush with just soap & water! I tried it on the decking without as much success. May 5, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Protection, Nice Color This stain produces a nice result – it provides for an even finish with some of the wood grain still showing through. It seems to do an excellent job protecting the wood – you can see the water beading up when it rains. I’ll be curious to see how long the color lasts. I used a solid Thompson’s Waterproofing Stain on my lower deck about 15 months ago & it’s beginning to peel and crack in some places. It still doesn’t look bad, it’s just not going to make it to 5 years like it states. It’s easy enough to apply though, so as long as this stain makes it a couple years I’ll be happy. Also worth noting - true to its claim, it is truly no-stir. You can simply pour and begin applying. I've gotten burned by stain that wasn't completely mixed before, so that was a nice bonus! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very easy to apply, dries fast Like that this is more of a thin paste than just a liquid, it makes it very easy to apply with a brush. We applied it to brand new pressure treated wood on a trailer deck, and it looks great. I did two boards at a time and don't see any brush marks. Not sure how long it will last on a trailer but says 4 yrs on a deck so will probably depend on how hard we use the trailer. You can see a little of the green on the pressure treated wood since this is a semi transparent. I also did a regular 2x4 piece to see the color difference and it wasn't very different, just a bit lighter on the untreated wood. Overall very pleased with the end product. Love the easy water cleanup. July 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thompson's Maple Brown Waterproof Sealant I am using this to repaint my porch and wheelchair ramp at my home. It goes on easy, dries quickly and looks great. I am always satisfied with Thompson products. May 11, 2015
