I had a new wood fence put in about 60 days ago then I used this product to spray on the fence. The fence looks amazing. It leaves a clear, glossy protectant. It rained 36 hours after I put it on and everything is still okay. I wore a mask and gloves will applying due to overspray.

4 years ago I would have given this 5 stars. However, they changed the formula and now it has the consistancy of motor oil! This means it is very difficult to use with a regular garden pump sprayer and I had to wipe up a lot of puddles. I wasted quite a bit as the sealant went on too thick in a lot of areas as sealant came out in streams rather than a spray fashion. The product still works great, but I will be switching to another brand for next year that has a lower viscosity so it is easier to apply and not as wasteful.

After scrubbing our 2 year old cedar fence with cleaner and allowing it to dry we opted to try this sealer. It's very oily and only after mixing it up (which is not mentioned anywhere on the can) did the product seam to spray better and go farther. However by spraying it on, it really seemed to saturate the fence. Not sure if this is good or bad since it only mentions applying a light coat. My fence is several shades darker and seems to have a constant wet cedar look. I am hoping it will lighten up after it completely dries. I had to wipe up some areas the sealer beaded up today. Seeing as it's only supposed to last a year or two, if I hate it I won't have to wait too long before I get to do this all over again!

Researched reviews from various sources and most loved this product. My neighbor said he used it in a sprayer several years ago and the application was quite simple. Apparently something changed. Purchased two-one gallon cans and each was quite thick/milky in appearance. Changed the various spray patterns in my older and brand new pump sprayer. It was so thick it would not 'fan out' and was impossible to spray my fence. I will be taking the five gallon can back for a refund and finish the rest of the project with something else.
