Tide Clean Breeze leaves clothes clean and always smelling amazing. I can't tell you how many times people have asked me what detergent I use! Please never discontinue this!

So disappointed. Used to love this, but now it's so expensive and smells strong and perfume-y like all the rest. Wish I had my money back.

The new original fragrance is too sweet and sickly. The old original fragrance was much more pleasant. I will probably not buy another box.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by JimInFlorida Ultra no match for Original
I have been using Tide powder laundry detergents for almost 20 years since reading a leading consumer magazine which ranked powder detergents superior to liquids and had consistently ranked Tide powder detergent at the top of the heap. Unfortunately, Ultra Tide powder no longer outperforms competing powders. I suppose the detergents have been concentrated, but a lot of the water softeners (which make up the bulk of the powder and were already condensed) were removed. It's just not worth the price since I have to use more product, soak, or double-wash loads to get the same clean as Tide Original. Please bring back the Original tried, true and trusted Tide.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by dave1973 Like Tide, but limited HE formulas
I recently tried the new Tide powder, & it still does a good job. I also still some of the old formula too. It continues to do a good job at getting my clothes clean. I however have to cut back the amount I use for my washer, because my favorite scent is Mountain Spring, but so far, Mountain Spring continues to never be made in a HE formula. I don't have a problem with suds as I've used Tide in my HE washer before HE detergent ever went on the market (my washer bought in 1999, but the first HE detergent wasn't available in my area until 2001). I just wish all Tide detergent were made low sudsing so those of us with HE washers can use the scent of our choice.

I AM 68 YRS OLD AND MY MOTHER ALWAYS USED TIDE. SO WHEN I MOVED OUT ON MY OWN I CARRIED TIDE WITH ME. I HAVE NEVER, NEVER USED ANY OTHER LAUNDRY DETERGENT EXCEPT TIDE. IT HAS ALWAYS REMOVED STAINS SUCH AS RED GA MUD AND GRASS STAINS AND EVEN INK,. I'VE RAISED 4 CHILDREN AND SEEN SOME PRETTY DIRTY CLOTHES. BUT THIS YEAR I'VE NOTICED THE ARM PITS OF MY HUSBAND'S SHIRTS HAVE BEEN DISCOLORED. HE WEARS THE SAME WHITE BRAND SHIRT HE'S BEEN WEARING FOR THE PAST 11 YRS AND USES THE SAME DEODERANT. I'VE TRIED PRE SOAKING AND
EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OFF TO NO AVAIL. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO MY OLD TIDE THAT WAS SO FAITHFUL. I'VE ALWAYS USED THE PLAIN OLD ORIGINAL TIDE!!!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by brehsug It makes me wanna hurl!
I've always used Tide Original powder but hadn't used it in awhile due to financial constraints. Recently splurged on a box of Tide only to find that the scent has been changed to some a heavy musky odor that burns my nose and doesn't smell clean and fresh like it used to! The smell was so repulsive that I had to re-wash my laundry with another brand of detergent!
I really wish P&G would bring back the PREVIOUS scent in Original Tide Powder, the one that I, and everyone I know loved! Not this terrible scent that literally makes me wanna hurl.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by CgCJK This new scent is AWFUL
It's like stepping into an 80s nightclub -- the overwhelming perfume will make your eyes water. I use the liquid HE detergent, always Original Scent, and didn't realize the scent had been changed. I've seen in other reviews that Mountain Spring is the old Original (yeah, THAT'S not confusing!), so I will look for that. BUT I will smell it in the store first. P&G -- you know better than this. Don't slap an Original label on something you've changed. At LEAST say "New Scent" on the bottle!
