2-3/4 in. Redwood Steel Deck Screws (275-Pack)-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great screw I built my deck with these screws and I didn't have even one of these strip on me. That's a first for me. No pre-drilling required and the small head hides well. They have great holding power as well. They pulled the boards together in places I couldn't assert much pressure on. On a side note, I used my Ryobi 18v impact driver (new to me) with these screws and couldn't imagine having to build the deck with a standard drill and "regular" screws.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bob Used these screws on a project decked with Home Depot Veranda Grey decking. The screws are good, and I found that the more careful you are with installing them 'perfectly' vertical you get almost no mushrooming. I guess, like with other brands, once you are on your 500th screw, and are not really carefull, you might get a bit of tilt on the screw gun. The result is a lump whose size is relative to the angle off vertical. It can be taken care of with a couple of hammer taps. The torx head is good. I installed 1300 screws and never stripped a single head. My only complaint, as with other brands is you can't get these out if you miss a joist. I have had a helper push up from underneath with a piece of wood but on this deck, it was low to the ground so I just buried the head with lots of pressure on my screw gun. A general comment for the manufacturerers: why doesn't someone come up with a device to set the depth automatically. It would make installation a lot quicker and neater. Overall, good product, color match is OK for Vernada grey decking, although you really don't see the heads.
