We purchased this for our contractor to install. The issue is that there isn't any slope to the drain. Therefore, every time we take a shower, we have to squeegee the water to the drain or else it just sits on the tile and in the corners. I am certainly not happy that after the cost of this purchase and the cost of my contractor, I am left with a bathroom that I am very unhappy with.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Asinow Solid Idea But Here Are My Suggestions
This saved me a lot of time not having to build a mortar base so that part was good. Here are my suggestions and tips.
Frame right up to the base as close as you can
Use regular mortar, NOT quick set. The quick set gets hard to fast and makes it hard to level
MAKE SURE its level. The slope to drain is not that great. I had pooling of water and had to adjust the tiles after they set. Not fun
Use the flashing they offer
The epoxy they give you is good and strong
Note to manufacture:
We need more of a slope to the drain. Otherwise, is a good design

Very light weight in its construction and came with a drain. Will be installing it very soon.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sdlow93 Great product
This is a well made and easy to install product. However, I recommend, if you have the ability, to frame out the walls after you install the pan, or at least, after you have the pan on hand to use as a guide. I installed mine in an existing frame that was almost perfect but I did have to add some 2X4's to the right wall to bring the frame out about a half inch so the backer board would be flush with the side of the pan.
My only complaint is that it came with three packages of mix for the tile adhesive and no instructions. I haven't tiled yet but I think you can find the information online. Oh, and it is a bit spendy, but I needed the convenience of brevity.

I know I got a good leak-proof base and that is what I really was looking for. The product was on the expensive side and required several steps to install which resulted in higher labor cost. Product could be improved by changing the outside and inside tapered "walls" to vertical 90 degree walls. Overall it was the peace of mind factor (leak-proof) that got my wallet out. Home Depot handled the transaction flawlessly.

I wanted this product work and in spite of the negative reviews on other websites, I purchased it anyway. Installed it exactly to the manufacturers instructions, in mortar on a concrete floor. 48 hours after setting it in the mortar the base flexed in places when stepped on and this would have made the tile crack. The base had to be removed and in the interest of time and money I standard shower pan was put in. A total waste of money. Please, read what is said in the internet tile forums about this product before you buy, and heed their warnings!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by maplelawnfarm Very nice shower base
I felt the base was expensive, but I am very pleased with the end result. It is a great alternative to laying the rubber mat and cement and trying to get the slope exactly right. After it is laid in the morter bed and you have your tile epoxied in place, it is very sturdy and solid. I did have enough epoxy to finish the job, but you don't want to spill any because you might not make it and it is very difficult to remove. I used a disposable flooring glue trowel with 1/8 inch notch. I emailed the manufacturer with a question and they were very fast in answering.

My contractor had no trouble installing the pan and had no trouble tiling it along with the shower walls. We love it!
