Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tile - not quite - Redi I have yet to start tiling so, keep that in mind. Basic install was a disaster. The problem is, it is extremely difficult to set a mortar base that will cure without any areas that slightly sink (even 1/4"). This results in a TileRedi pan that flexes in those spots when stepped on. Obviously, that is unacceptable do to the nature of tile. When a person steps on that spot - it will certainly crack. I eventually installed the TileRedi base without any mortar (my subfloor is level and is 1.5" thick so it's not a problem). Google search TileRedi and take a look at other reviews / stories. I'm not saying it's a bad product, but it is probably not a DIY job for most people.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as easy as it looks Well, so far it looks good installed, BUT not so easy to install. Not for the average person to install. The premise is excellent since the other alternatives are not as long lasting. In other words, it should never fail. The epoxy required for the installation of tiles is almost impossible to work with, it dries extremely quickly. No room for error if your meticulous. You are also limited in your tile choice, can't use tile larger than 2x2 due to the contours in the pan.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not for installation on concrete floor I purchased this product after watching the ease of use installation video. I installed it on a concrete floor with a fixed drain that I put in place after watching the video and installed following their instuctions. The instructions are great for floors where you can go underneath and do the plumbing after installation but not on a fixed concrete surface. If you are installing it on a fixed concrete type floor without access to the plumbing beneath it, then beware! Even their technical support department didn't really have answers. Glue dries in about a minute and they advised me to let it (the tileready) settle into position after placing it on the mortor bed. Unfortunately, the glue dictates the installation process. I may have to tear it back up and throw it away because they didn't tell me in advance to add an additional 1/2 inch of length to the drain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommended, great customer service. My contractor saved many hours by using this unit for a tiled floor. This was his first time using this product and he loved it. The unit looks great and should provide a lifetime of use. The customer service department at Redi-Tile quickly addressed an issue I had with the drain cover. The company was very helpful on all our pre-installation questions. Photo taken during installation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice shower pan, but... very nice pan with the drain integrated into it. first time using this brand. I am a professional remodeler. I have done hundreds of bathrooms from standard to handicap accessible. the issues I had with this pain are: the splashguard is thicker than 1/2 hardi-backer, making the bottom row of tile difficult to install properly. and the epoxy adhesive was difficult to work with, i.e. runny, etc. I followed the directions as far as the type of trowel and still ended up with too much adhesive on the pan, causing it to push out above the tile. wiping it only smeared it. after it cured, I couldn't scrap it out of the joints like you can with thin set or other adhesives. there are also no instructions for cleaning up tools etc.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this product I just finished tearing the pan out today. the mortar does not bond with the underside of the pan, causing flex every time you step into the pan. any flex an grout will not hold. I did not do the research on this pan prior to purchase and if you do, you will find contractors complaining about the same issue. Keep away from this

Rated 1 out of 5 by from product has potential For the price I was expecting a far superior product. It was flimsy and you should not follow the instructions. I had to lift out the pan twice to get a good solid setting. The flashing kit was as thin as a soda can and was absurdly over priced for what you get.
