Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Thunderball Clock I saw this clock on a lot of different stores' websites and none of the pictures did this clock justice in my opinion. I thought it looked kind of cheap looking in the pictures but when I finally got the clock out of its packaging (I ordered online for store pickup and it was extremely diligently packaged!) I was very pleased to find it had heft and really looked classy. In person, there's nothing cheap looking about it. My opinion was confirmed by a number of my coworkers who saw it while I had it at the front desk awaiting installation. Nearly everyone that works on this floor came up and said some version of the comment, "Nice clock!" I ordered it to put in a conference room at work that is named after the James Bond movie Thunderball. In the movie there's a watch that has a face that looks very similar to the face of this clock so I was very happy that it was good enough quality to put in the room. That said, there are two things about this clock that I would change if I could, 1) the hole on the back for hanging is awkwardly formed and hard to find when hanging the clock, and 2) the second hand ticks rather loudly. If you plan to hang this in a room where you'll be sitting and reading, studying or spending any amount of quiet time, you'll probably want to reconsider buying this clock. In the days that I had it at the desk with me I found it bothersome which was surprising since I'm not easily annoyed by those kinds of things and I usually have records playing in the lobby so I really only heard it when the music stopped. I talked it over with a couple of people that regularly use the Thunderball conference room and they felt that the loud tick would not be problematic in there so I went ahead and used it and have not had any complaints.
