I would like to drop the bait directly in a 6" space between a double back fence between yards without the station where rats are nesting, would this be okay?

Hi Dorry in Rubidoux.
Thank you for your question.
The Tomcat Mouse Killer X effectively kills up to 6 mice with one bait block. The safest way to use this type of bait is to use the secure bait station to keep out unwanted fingers as well as other non-target critters. The bait station is very resistant to tampering.
You could always use a construction adhesive and attach the bait station to the top of the fence if you have the space. Or if you have a double dog ear fence, attach a 1x6 to the top of the fence and then anchor the bait station onto of it.
This would provide a safe and secure way of distributing the bait. You will also be better able to monitor how much of the bait is being consumed by your pesky rats.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Our cat became very sick , we took it to the vet and spent quite a bit for and they couldn't find anything wrong. They came to the conclusion that it may have eaten a mouse that ate poisen.

Customer Reviews

Mouse Killer Refillable Bait Station (32-Count) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 105.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Review in real-time. Will update as I go Health officials in my city have documented that rodents in a canyon near my house have tested positive for hantavirus . Thus, after finding evidence of rodents in my garage, it was time to take steps to eradicate the threat. Positive reviews of this product led me to give it a try. I have a gameplan to give this product two weeks, at which point I will provide a final rating. This is my experience so far. Night 1 (8/10) - Placed bait in bait station but without the cover. Situated the station at the side of my garage. Following morning, bait was untouched. Night 2 (8/11)- Bait still in station, untouched at point #1 of garage. Night 3 (8/12) - bait still in station, untouched at point #1 of garage Night 4 (8/13) - Placed a bait block in another location in the front corner of my garage, near an entry point for rodents (point #2). Following morning, the entire bait block was gone. Bait station at point #1 continued to have untouched bait. Night 5 (8/14) - Moved bait station from point #1 to point #2, and placed a second bait next to it. Both were left untouched. Night 6 (8/15) - Removed bait from bait station and simply left two blocks in the open at point #2 in garage. Both baits were gone the next morning. A few crumbs of bait were left, possibly suggesting that it was partially eaten on the spot. Night 7 (8/16)- Left 3 bait blocks without the bait station at point #2. All three baits missing the following morning. Beginning to think these baits are not being eaten, but rather collected and stored somewhere. Night 8 (8/17) - Will place a bait inside the bait station at point #2 in the garage, with the goal of preventing the removal of the bait and hopefully promoting the consumption of the bait at the point #2. Will update tomorrow.

I've used this in the past with good results, it's not as good as it used to be. I don't know if the package I received was old or defective or what, but this simply didn't work this season. I put down snap traps with bait a few feet away and repeatedly caught mice in the traps but the bait was untouched. I gave the remainder to my son-in-law and it didn't work for him, either.

We used these to refill our bait station after we saw some small droppings in our shed. After this was out for about two weeks, we noticed that one of the blocks had been eaten and then we had no more "evidence". This product worked for me.

I don't understand why some people are observing their mice eating this product. Mine certainly won't. The old product with brodifacoum worked fine. Unfortunately it has been outlawed by the EPA. My mice won't touch this new stuff with bromethalin. I returned the package and bought a 2-pack of the old-style traps made from plastic. Excellent results. See my separate review. As for this stuff, don't waste your time & money IMHO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy, great trap I have many of these style traps in a few places in my garage, I've caught a few mice before. I'm using these as outside stations to try to prevent the mice from getting in to the garage in the first place. Only thing i am finding as a downside, if the cover gets dirty it becomes very hard to check without picking up. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product that saved us money We use to have a contract with a well know exterminator in our area who on one visit to control the mice activity under our house went to his truck to get his bait. It was Tomcat blocks. So we canceled our contract and have used this product as needed.
