Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fudman Best Value Dock on the Market!
This is simply the best value dock system on the market today. Been looking for a dock for years but every one cost a lot more than $1K - $2K. I completed my L dock for under $900 in less than one day of work! The cedar decking looks fantastic. All wood components are properly cut and sanded. Assembly was a breeze. The modules are light enough that I can assemble and disassemble the dock by myself. The modularity allows for future expansion. It is extremely sturdy. A great value!
A tip: In lieu of the $100+ flotation log, I bought 2 pcs of 2" styrofoam boards and made my own flotation log for $30. They worked perfectly.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MountainMan68 Functional, OK but could be better
What you purchasing is precut sanded lumber and galvanized nails. I bought the 4' x 8' dock. one of the three 8' 2"x6"s was really warped. You wouldn't have picked it out of the stack of lumber at the store. At least a 6" bow. Also two of the deck boards were also warped. This is supposed to be kiln dried wood but usually you don't see kiln dried wood this warped.
I know they are trying to keep the price down but I think they should supply wood screws rather than nails for assembly.
Other than that it's functional and priced right.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by TBeth Missing pieces
I bought 3 kits and two of them arrived missing pieces (one was missing an 8ft 2x6, another was short 3 decking pieces)
Some of the pieces were the wrong length. If I wasn't a carpenter with a saw at my disposal, I wouldn't have been able to put this together.
Also, the nails included in the kit are just 6 penny galvanized. They wouldn't have held this together for one summer (plus the galvanized would have left big black marks on the cedar). I used stainless 3.5" screws.

This dock is easy to assemble. Instructions were perfect. The quality of the cedar is first-rate and clean. I stacked one over the end of the other to form a T and it worked out to be a beautiful deck.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CJ237 Solid product, but time estimate is way off
I bought 2 of these to replace aging floating docks at our summer house. Delivery to the store was fast and pickup was easy. My wife and I got everything home and unpacked it, ready to go. Time estimate was 18-20 minutes for assembly so I figured we'd be done relatively quickly....not quite the case.
The dock came with a bag of nails to use for assembly. While nails are just fine to use, I prefer screws so that if anything needs replacing, it's much easier. I went out and bought a box of 3.5" and 2.5" wood screws instead. The cedar wood was in excellent condition, with few if any defects. We decided to pre-drill the holes so as not to split any of the deck boards. By the time we were done, we had spent nearly 3 hours putting it all together.
Even if we had used the nails, there's no way we would have been done in 40 minutes as expected. I'm not going to down rate the product based on inaccurate time, but I do think the use of screws over nails would give this a bump to 5 stars.
Overall I'm quite happy with the finished product.

I got this to use as a small platform or "floating deck" for my small backyard (not attached to the house). The quality of the wood is great. The cedar looks really nice. All the frame boards were straight and there were no cracks.
Putting it together is easy. But you have to very careful about squaring the frame and using a level surface for good results. A couple of the decking planks were a bit bent but flattened out properly when screwed in to the frame. Some of the decking boards were not that precise in length. Maybe 1/4-1/8 off for a couple of them. Not a big deal but noticeable.
In terms of value, for my purposes, the price, at about $5 per square foot, compares favorably to other "kits", whether wood or masonry tile. I plan to get a couple more to put some deck chairs on, etc. One note for people using it like me, the specified gap between planks, 1/2 inch, might be a bit larger than people expect or find attractive. If you knock it down to 1/4 inch, you will need to get one more 1x6x4ft board, which actually fits perfectly with that gap.

This was simple easy to assemble. I used this for a small "deck" off my kitchen. It is the perfect size for going in and out of the door. You can't use it for entertaining but if all you need something for accessing an entry, this is great. The parts are pre-cut and it was very easy to assemble. I guess you could use another one to buck-up against the other and use that for setting up a couple of chairs and a grill. That would make it 8'X8". Something to think about.
