The power head is a great tool. It is adaptable for many different uses depending on the attachment you use.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ken Great product!
I bought this to replace a Ryobi powerhead that never ran well and only lasted 2 years. This Toro powerhead starts easy, runs well and I hope it will last for many years.
A county club grounds crew that I worked for in my college summers used Toro for most of their equipment so I have faith in this brand.
The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars it because I'm waiting on the long term performance results and I rarely give a "10", in this case, a 5.

No assembly required and switched back from 4 cycle as it died an untimely death. I do not mind mixing the oil and gas as you get more power. I do use high test gas to stay away from Ethanol. My Trimmer plus attachments all work. Edger. Weed Wacker. Hedge trimmer. Chain saw trimmer. Cultivator. Starts with ease once you get down the technique. It is light and easy to handle. I did switch out the lower handle from an old unit as is is held on with four screws and a plate rather than just one retaining screw. It feels more secure and durable. See picture. I used it today with a hege trimmer attachment and had no issues working above my head.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by HardWorker Makes a great paperweight!
This trimmer works great if you need a large paperweight!!!! I've had the trimmer 2 months and have used it about six times. It starts easy and idles good as long as the choke is on. You are supposed to put the choke on to start it. The choke automatically shuts off the first time you squeeze the throttle. That is when the problems start. Without the choke on, it will not build up enough power to even turn the cutting head. To make do with the piece of junk, I have to leave the choke on and let it run at full speed the entire time of using it. Then the next yard it works like it is supposed to. Then the next yard it is back to leaving the choke on for it to work. When you buy a tool, you expect a tool to work. You do not expect to have to waste your time taking it to a repair shop or back to the store, or making phone calls to try and get something done. After reading the other post about how poor Toro's customer service and warranty is, I decided not to waste my time trying to return it, take it to a repair shop or make a bunch of phone calls. I just hung it on the wall to use as spare parts. Don't think I will ever buy another Toro product and don't recommend anyone else does either.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SThompson Excellent purchase. This runs better than the 31cc unit it replaced!
I was a little bit worried in going from a 31cc unit down to this 24.5cc power head as I use it to power an edger and hedge trimmers also, but with it being a full crank it runs much better and has plenty or power. I would definitely recommend it over the Ryobi built unit it relaced.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Logan Good head unit
I finally blew the head gasket on my 4 cycle Ryobi and decided to buy this after reading the reviews and doing some in depth research.
It doesn't seem to like the run/stop/run method i used to do (stopping the engine and then starting it again a minute later to weed eat another spot). But as long as i keep it running as i work it is a good product.
Also, it seems to run best when i don't put the throttle to absolute max.
Can't say how it does for the long haul as I've only used it twice. Florida storms have put a damper on my regular use..
