If you are using the universal attachment for weed wackers, then yes your attachments will work. I used a different brand (Craftsman) before buy the Toro and all the attachments work. I also looked at the Ryobi units at the store and they use the same fitting. You'll be fine with your trimmer, blower, etc. attachments.

Answer:
Yes, I have an edger unit and I've used it with the Toro power head successfully. Same performance as I've had in the past with another power head. It is possible to bog down in the really hard clay or in super thick grass but that is the same for all these small 2-cycle engines. You just back it off and go in again. If you use it "normally" and don't rush or force it, the blade edger does just fine.

yes, poulan pro attachments are also universal, they should fit as long as your powerhead is split boom (attachment capable) it can also fit other universal attachments, such as ryobi, craftsman, and others. however, universal attachments don't fit echo or stihl, they have their own systems (PAS, echo and kombi, stihl).

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 225 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Depenable Substitute I purchase this on August 1, 2016 as an alternate to my Craftsman trimmer. I wanted a trimmer that would accept my Craftsman attachments-edger, blower, etc. without buying a new set. This trimmer was able to do the job. I do recommend using noise reducers, because this unit can get rather loud when revved up. That's the only reason I did not give it a five star rating. Now let's see if it will go through a season or two without going to the shop for something other that scheduled maintenance. I'll come back in the future to describe the dependability. I do recommend this product. August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 2-Cycle 25.4cc Power Head for Trimmer, Excellent product I liked the idea of being able to buy just the main body to replace the one I hard that died, I can use my attachments that I already have. September 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by OLDANDCRANKY I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THIS UNIT A 10 IF I COULD KEEP SPARK PLUG WIRE ATTACHED. NOTHING I COULD DO TO GET IT TO STAY ON.JURY RIGGED A STANDARD SIZE BOOT AND WIRE, BUT GOT SHOCKED OFTEN. YOU WOULD THINK TORO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THIS OUT . August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Overall Product Does exactly what it is supposed to. Makes short work of our bushes and hedges. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Multi-use power head The power head is a great tool. It is adaptable for many different uses depending on the attachment you use. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Better Than Expected No assembly required and switched back from 4 cycle as it died an untimely death. I do not mind mixing the oil and gas as you get more power. I do use high test gas to stay away from Ethanol. My Trimmer plus attachments all work. Edger. Weed Wacker. Hedge trimmer. Chain saw trimmer. Cultivator. Starts with ease once you get down the technique. It is light and easy to handle. I did switch out the lower handle from an old unit as is is held on with four screws and a plate rather than just one retaining screw. It feels more secure and durable. See picture. I used it today with a hege trimmer attachment and had no issues working above my head. September 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! I bought this to replace a Ryobi powerhead that never ran well and only lasted 2 years. This Toro powerhead starts easy, runs well and I hope it will last for many years. A county club grounds crew that I worked for in my college summers used Toro for most of their equipment so I have faith in this brand. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars it because I'm waiting on the long term performance results and I rarely give a "10", in this case, a 5. July 13, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Makes a great paperweight! This trimmer works great if you need a large paperweight!!!! I've had the trimmer 2 months and have used it about six times. It starts easy and idles good as long as the choke is on. You are supposed to put the choke on to start it. The choke automatically shuts off the first time you squeeze the throttle. That is when the problems start. Without the choke on, it will not build up enough power to even turn the cutting head. To make do with the piece of junk, I have to leave the choke on and let it run at full speed the entire time of using it. Then the next yard it works like it is supposed to. Then the next yard it is back to leaving the choke on for it to work. When you buy a tool, you expect a tool to work. You do not expect to have to waste your time taking it to a repair shop or back to the store, or making phone calls to try and get something done. After reading the other post about how poor Toro's customer service and warranty is, I decided not to waste my time trying to return it, take it to a repair shop or make a bunch of phone calls. I just hung it on the wall to use as spare parts. Don't think I will ever buy another Toro product and don't recommend anyone else does either. July 3, 2016
