Pretty straight forward, easy assembly. It comes with the oil included. The option of side discard is great! It started on the first try. Our yard had gotten quite long when the old mower crapped out. We live in Florida, so the grass grows very quick, as well as retains the moisture from everyday rain. We set it up at the medium blade height. We were quite impressed at how easily it got through the weeds and grass, even in the areas that were still damp. We have a good size back yard and it took less that 20 minutes to mow it. We were very impressed at the speed and ease of this mower. Highly recommend.

Bought this mower 3 weeks ago and have used it 3 times and couldn't be happier so far. Started right up on the the first pull the first time out of the box and every time since. Cuts and mulches well. The self-propelled mechanism is easy to operate. I can depress the lever just little for a leisurely mow or more for a faster mow. If I depressed it all the way I'd be practically running but I assume this would be very helpful when bagging and the bag begins to fill since the weight would slow it down but it would keep propelling forward. Especially with wet grass. Anyway, we'll see how it starts at the first mow next spring.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cupra Great self-propelled mower.
I've never owned a self-propelled mower before so I wasn't sure what to expect. What I wanted was less effort to mow. And that is exactly what I got.
I have steep slopes on the sides of my new property and this mower handles them with ease. It's nice to not be out of breath after mowing too. This makes the whole process so much easier.
I had read that for a sloped yard, it was better to get the 'big wheel' version, as that allows for better manoeverability while mowing.
Overall, a very good purchase. Only used it 3 times so far at the new house, but working really well for me. Mulcher is working well too, and it chops up the clippings nice and fine, making it easy to empty and dispose of.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by frustrated Terrible product. I've had two in 4 months. 1st mower drive failed in 1 week (1.5 mowings on a 20,00 sq ft lot), Home Depot replaced. 2nd drive failed again just 3 months later. Previous mowers and lawn tractor are 10yrs + old. No failures. Still operating, used them to finish for the season. Sad! I do like that it is easy to start.

Second time use and struggled going through light leaves. Would have expected better considering its called the "Recycler!" Should have paid more and gone with the Honda engine vs Kohler.

This lawn mower might be ideal for someone with a small yard but not for a professional lawn care worker. The plastic wheels will not withstand rough terrain, the overall steel frame is too fragile and will eventually break but for the price I paid for it I would have to say I got my moneys worth. Oh, I definite don't like the variable speed self propel. The slowest speed is too fast for the average person to comfortably use.
