Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Mower Ever The first time I bought this mower it quit after 20 minutes! I took it back and got another, thinking the first one was just a lemon. As it turns out, they are all lemons! Toro has gone down the toilet as far as quality goes and I will never buy another one. April 28, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Decent mower - except all the plastic parts... I just got off the phone with Toro customer service and was so disappointed I decided I'd write a review. I paid about $250 for this mower, I treat it very well. It's stored in my garage, gets seasonal preventive maintenance, sharpen or replace the blade etc. The annoying part is, if you're mowing anything other than pure grass clippings get a different mower. The rear housing under the mower is plastic, the parts cost between $25-$45 to DIY when you go over a small rock or stick and it shatters the plastic. Every season I've owned this I've had to replace this. I'm done. In two seasons I could have just sprung for a better brand or model and have shelled out the same amount of money. Very poor customer service. May 22, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty much cheapo mower Engine is OK Starts OK Rest of mower is junk Turn it upside down to change the oil? Must have saved $2 on the plug Cant even put the gas filler upright funnel falls out Chute broke off easily FWD worse thing - no guard to keep weeds from winding around the front axle which will stop the wheels from spinning Had to clean out 3x in one day Not easy to clean out either Just a cheaply made body August 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice mower just minor assembling was required and it was ready to go August 18, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best mower The only reason and most important to me is that the mower did not cut the grass the way I thought it should. The motor continually died when I would start to mow and that is not good for me. I plan on returning this mower and getting a riding one. October 6, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't start I have had this lawn mower a little over a year. I always have had problems with it starting. Went to mow this morning and the thing burst into flames. This one must have had a faulty carborator or something. It just has not been the best mower October 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by let's hope they stick by their guarantee..... In April I finally broke down and bought a Toro! Messed around with cheaper stuff too much. This one looked good, and it had a sticker that said it was "guaranteed to start". Took it home, found it funny there was no way to prime the system, but after three or four pulls, she cranked into life. As the summer wore on, it took six or eight pulls. Today I wanted to do one more mow before winter hits and the frigging thing won't start at all. Pulled for an hour, off and on. Whatever the reason is probably covered under warranty, but it's the principle. Build something that works. I should've bought the Japanese one! November 3, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't bother with this hunk of garbage I bought my Toro 22 inch recycler mower in October 2012. As of March 2014 I have had to take this "guaranteed to start the first time" piece of junk into the shop three different times because it would not start. I am now parking this mower on the curb in the hopes that some sucker can take it off of my hands, and than I am going shopping for a mower that does not bear the Toro name. I would not recommend this mower to my worst enemy, let alone a Home Depot customer. March 15, 2014
