I just got off the phone with Toro customer service and was so disappointed I decided I'd write a review. I paid about $250 for this mower, I treat it very well. It's stored in my garage, gets seasonal preventive maintenance, sharpen or replace the blade etc. The annoying part is, if you're mowing anything other than pure grass clippings get a different mower. The rear housing under the mower is plastic, the parts cost between $25-$45 to DIY when you go over a small rock or stick and it shatters the plastic. Every season I've owned this I've had to replace this. I'm done. In two seasons I could have just sprung for a better brand or model and have shelled out the same amount of money. Very poor customer service.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Wastedmoney I will not get burned twice
Worst mower I have ever owned, worked flawlessly for seven months, the service center is to far, the time and inconvenience far exceeds the value, having a warranty that you can't take advantage of is useless.
Don't buy this mower.

My Toro is now 1 and a half years old and I have had it in the shop twice for not starting. The new EPA regulations on two cycle mowers has hampered the quality of these mowers. The Ethanol Fuel does not do well in these carburetors. I have had to flush the fuel lines and replace the carburetor even after adding ethanol treatment to the fuel. I was told the only way to maintain the mower is to burn all the fuel out after each use. Otherwise the mower starts on one pull and mows just like I want.

I bought my Toro 22 inch recycler mower in October 2012. As of March 2014 I have had to take this "guaranteed to start the first time" piece of junk into the shop three different times because it would not start. I am now parking this mower on the curb in the hopes that some sucker can take it off of my hands, and than I am going shopping for a mower that does not bear the Toro name. I would not recommend this mower to my worst enemy, let alone a Home Depot customer.

I love the "Guaranteed to Start" written right on the engine! Within the first few months of owning this mower and following the maintenance instructions by the book, it was getting more difficult to start every time. Sometimes it would take 10-12 pulls to get it to start; now, here I am getting ready to mow for the first time this year and cannot get it to start at all! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
