Is the 3/4 threaded end the standard size for connecting to a garden hose fitting?

I have standard garden hose and need to know if the female end will connect to the threaded end of this elbow.

This connector is used for sprinklers.

This fitting is not designed to be used with a garden hose. The funny pipe fitting has pipe threads versus hose threads – the pitch is different and leaking would probably occur.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What I needed. These elbows thread onto my current Rain Bird sprinkler heads. They also fit the 3/8 water tubing used in my system. I bought a bag o' ten, though, because they do snap sometimes when cars run over the heads. If everyone stays on the driveway, I will only need one. :-) April 26, 2016
