This patented system cuts grass clippings 6-8 times, turning them into a fine nutrient-rich mulch to feed your lawn all season. Customer Reviews

42 in. Recycler Kit for TimeCutter Z and TimeCutter SS models is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! Toro should make some of these options standard Install was simple and took about an hour. I propped the mower up on truck ramps and it allowed easy access underneath. I left the grass shoot/diverter off to make mower more maneuverable around trees, fence, shrubs, etc. Mowed the yard twice and it leaves a nice, clean and even cut. You can barely see the grass clippings. Overall good investment. I just wish Toro didn't make you pay extra for items that should be standard on a $2600 mower (hour meter, arm rest, recycler).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mulch kit seemes to work well Installing this kit was pretty easy, especially if you have a jack and jack stands to assist in removal of the deck from the mower. Time will tell if the plastic diverters under the deck will last with the wear and tear of sandy soil in my yard. First use was mulching leaves and it seemed to work very well and didn't kick up near as much debris as I thought it would. Overall, it works very well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Toro recycler kit Difficult to install. Instructions say to tip mower over. How on a zero-turn large mower? Mulching kit still leaves a lot of cut material on the lawn and you have to go over it twice or three times to get it all. Really does not work as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works very good if installed properly I have been using this for about a month and the lawn never looked freshly cut when I was done. I was planning to change back to the bagger today and realized that I had the blades on upside down. Corrected the blades and it works like a charm. There is minimal clumping, what you would expect from any "recycler". I wish the instructions were clearer, as the blades appeared to go the other way based on their shape. Other than this, I have no complaints.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall an excellent purchase Installs very easily, with basic had tools. Instructions will have you leave the existing spring loaded grass chute attached. I found it to be better to remove completely (narrower and easier to mow in small spaces). It chops the grass into very small pieces not noticeable on your lawn. It will leave grass clumps if lawn is very tall, but a second pass clears it right up. If I mow my lawn weekly I have no troubles. Would definitely recommend

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Somewhat difficult to install, but very effective! Unless you have a lift or other elevation device, you have to remove the mower bed and invert it to remove the existing blades and access the area to install most of the mulching parts and blades. Many women might have trouble with removing and working with the heavy mower bed. Once installed, the kit does a great job! I can't even find any evidence of grass clippings on my St. Augustine lawn.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Compared To Others Toro's mulching kit (recycler) is more costly than other mowers and not significantly better. The large metal baffle is what drives the price up. My biggest complaint is that you can't get replacement parts, you have to buy the whole kit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Complicated parts for a simple mulching operation. The mulching kit works well but I do not believe that the engineers that designed the deck were looking ahead for the deck to be used as a mulching deck. It does work good but not as good as my 22' push mower.
