Customer Questions & Answers

need sub miniute timeing

Asked by: shawn
I don't understand the question. Is it about something that is sub-miniature?...or about some sort of timer that can time fractions of a minute?

I was going to purchase two #53767 at $27 yesterday but wanted to veryify that my time pod would work. Today they are $44. Is there a promo code?

Asked by: Anonymous
Toro are confused about their model numbers. I have a 53794, and it accepts the time pod, I also see a 53767 on their site and it is pictured with a time pod. Looking at ebay, I see that the 53767 is shown as an eight port unit, and the 53794 is a six port unit. I would start by opening the box and checking that there is a connector for a pod. Then if it doesn't work, I am sure Home Depot will let you bring it back. (Keep the packaging) I note thet the time pod shown with the 53767 unit has a WiFi antenna, but I would expect that the controller unit will be compatible with both types of pod.

Do you have the Toro EC-XTRA in an outdoor model (Weather proof, direct wire to 115 Vac)?

I bought the TORO outdoor timer some years ago at Home Depot and I would like to replace it with the same model. It must be at least 6-Zones and wires up to 115Vac with no AC adapter (wall wart) and be weather proof.

It sounds like you are looking for the ECXTRA Outdoor Sprinkler Timer, model number 53795 or 53768. Unfortunately, these models have been discontinued and we no longer have any remaining inventory. You could try searching online for those model numbers to see if there is any availability elsewhere.

EC-XTRA Automatic Sprinkler Timer-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I've been installing Toro controllers for about 8 years now. They are by far the best bang for the buck. Easy to program compared to a few others i've dealt with. Unless you are going to do some kind of elaborate programing this is the prfect fit for any system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product at excellent price Toro brand is well known for quality, I have been using one for last 11 years, not a single issue. Bought this for my second house. Excellent service and shopping by Home Depot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built to last a long time! The predecessor, Model EC-X, lasted for more than 15 years - but a lightening strike did it in. I fully expect this to last that long, plus I like the new features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product is easy to program I had an early generation of this timer and it worked for 16 years. When I moved I wanted try the new generation and ordered one from HD. It did not work properly and returned ti to HD with no problem which is their policy. I went home and ordered another of the same timer and got it promptly. When I hooked it up it worked perfectly. Programming it is very easy to do. I really like TORO products and this is the first time I ever had a problem with one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great! This thing does everything as advertised. EXCEPT. It does not come with the attachment to program with a computer. Which all the advertising leads you to believe it does. But for the price I can't complain too much.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good features except manual operation feature. The product has provisions for 3 seperate cycles (A,B, or C). On "automatic" the product will as intended run cycles A,B, or C. I expected the same when using the "manual" operation. Instead, in the "manual" operation the product runs through all 3 cycles (A, B, and C). I called "customer service and they confirmed that in the manual mode, it will cycle through A+B+C. Incidently, the manual indicates that I could select / limit only one cycle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product is what was expected I replaced my old Toro sprinkler controller with this one as the old one died after 10+ years of use. It is exactly the same as the old one with a few new electronic features. The good thing is that this no longer needs a 9V battery to keep the settings in case of a power failure. It fit perfectly in the enclosure with the old mountings with no modifications at all which is really why I bought this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product I would never be able to have all the beautiful plants that I do without this timer for our irrigation. It controls both landscaping and planters. We've had a lot of rain this year, so it's controlling planters only at this time, but I can easily change to controlling beds as well. It's so easy to change settings by doing it on the computer and just transferring the file to the timer! I highly recommend it.
