This is an indoor controller. It can be installed in an outdoor cabinet, but it is not recommended for outdoor use without protection from weather/moisture.

Lawn Master II 6-Zone Sprinkler Timer is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lawn Master II works perfectly Easy to install. Operation is greatly improved over my earlier model. Solved my problem with one automatic valve.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It electrically works well, but it's hard to program . . . I've been using the unit for 14 months. Have had no problems with any kind of unit failure. However it is not easy to program because: 1) Screen is VERY difficult to read, 2) The instructions are incorrect in stating that you should turn the knob "slowly" to RUN after entering a "MANUAL STATION" time setting. You must turn it quickly or it will not open the valve. I called and verified this with Toro after wasting a lot of time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value Old,old Toro clock stopped. This was a easy way to get up and watering again. Only problem is trying to read the black on black controls. Get a flash light ready.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Difficult to program The timer was rather easy to program for normal use. However, the manual override was difficult because all stations needed to be changed even if only one station as desired to be changed. They could be immediately changed back to the former setting, but they could not be ignored. I change the station times rather frequently and so decided that I would pay the quite a bit greater price for another brand of timer to more conveniently program it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I Hate This Timer Programming the controller is an exercise in futility. At least twice per summer we notice that our lawn is soaking wet, only to find that the timer is firing off two different schedules each night. The interface is inscrutable, and the button functions are inconsistent across different screens. The only thing that seems to work properly is the "Off" setting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not recommend Display extremely hard to read due to it's dark screen (lack of contrast between background and functions) thus making set-up and scheduling a frustrating task!!! Program buttom sloppy and skips over programs. Some station timers do not operate for duration of time entered (set for 1 hour and stops in 5 - 10 seconds). Installation of power and station wires requires use of a small phillips head screwdriver that slips out of the JIS phillips heads. Was not the quality I expected from Toro, unit will be returned.
