Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect all round mower I am really impressed with this mower. The rear drive wheels and personal pace works perfect. Your not fighting with the mower as found using others that dog in and don't stop. The mulcher works really good and leaves very little clumps only when stopping and changing direction. Sometimes when i am doing short runs back and forth i switch it to bag just those areas. I got it on a great Fathers day sale. I can mow the lawn in half the time and i'm not overheated from pushing like i was with the old push job. I used to have to overlap my cuts a lot more The electric start works good and i tried pull starting with no issues at all. My only concern is that mower deck seems to be a little flimsy. If it were aluminum deck it would be perfect. (but probably more money) Overall very happy after a full summer of use. December 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Why did I wait so long Cuts...mulches...bags...its like a different date every time we go out. Still get my exercise..goes at my pace. Great machine..with pushbutton start... I'm in grass heaven August 4, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Useless for mulching Bought this to replace my Lawnboy mulching mower and have been using it for a year now. I have to say that the Lawnboy could run circles around this Toro. While it has some nice features, they don't make up for the shortcomings. Will be taking a hit and trading this in for a another Lawnboy shortly. Pros: Electric start is nice. Construction is fairly sturdy. Personal Pace feature works well. Cons: Way under powered for a mulching mower. Unless you're cutting every 3-4 days and the grass is bone dry this thing will just bog down in mulching mode. Even in side discharge mode, it creates clumps and doesn't distribute the clippings evenly. Gas tank is too small. I have to fill this almost twice as often as I did with the Lawnboy. August 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great mower Love this lawnmower. Cuts through long grass with ease. Starts easily every time. Variable Speed is a great feature. September 15, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy this mower if you mulch I have been mowing grass for 30 years and have always used mulch mode. Recently decided it was time to retire my 4 year old $200 mower and upgrade to a Toro. I was quite shocked with my first use of this Toro, while it foes a great job of cutting leaves a steady line of "clumps of grass clippings" to the right centre of the cut. It's almost as if I need to mow a second time with the bag attached to clean it up. I then started up my Wally mower and cut an adjacent strip of grass...the outcome was perfect! I returned that mower and ordered a same model replacement, same issue! I have been working with Toro for this past month and tried everything they have asked. The outcome from them is nothing but excuses...the grass was wet (NOT) was too long (NOT) etc etc. Toro CS has been totally useless. I should post my underdog vs Toro challenge video to youtube! I'm not happy at all with this Toro and I do cut my grass twice weekly. Stop the excuses Toro! July 26, 2013
