Customer Questions & Answers

Has anyone used this Toro blower on a brick paver driveway?

Will the paddle ruin or loosen the bricks? I need to get a blower that will throw the snow at least 25-30 feet and this one seems like it could do that, however, I do not want it to harm the pavers. Thanks,

Is it coreless

do i need a core when i use it
Asked by: Rob228
We are assuming you meant to ask if you need a cord. You do not need a cord. However, you will need to add gas for operation.

what is th difference between th 621R,621QZR and the QZE?

Asked by: DJets
I am pretty sure the 621R is manual chute, with rope start. QZR is the "slide" chute with rope. The QZE is slide chute w/ Electric start. The 4 cycle motor is beefy and is not for your grandma to try to pull start. Opt for the electric start if you have some arm/shoulder issues.

Power Clear 621 QZR 21 in. Single-Stage Quick Chute Gas Snow Blower is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 203.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight but performs as well as a bir machine Happy with new machine. Handled 8 inch snow fall with no problems. Chute control on right handle is great feature

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Filling oil The owner's manual recommends filling the oil in the operating position. However, without a transmission funnel the job is difficult because the fill port is located low and almost horizontal. I tipped the blower forward until it rested on the snow intake, and filled it easily. The manual states the engine will take almost the full bottle of supplied oil, so I stopped a few ounces short of empty. I returned the blower to operating position, and the oil level was perfect. No surprise leaks from filling in this manner. In the garage everything appears perfect. Time and freezing temperatures in actual operation will be the real test. So far, so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Purchase Had a two stage thrower and sold it to purchase a smaller and more maneuverable single stage and happy I did so. We avg 30 in of snow a year and that comes in 3-8 in increments. The last storm we had was a very wet and heavy snow. It dumped just under a foot on my house and the my shiny red purchase handled it beautifully. I like the fact that is has a few more cc's to the engine than some of the entry models and that the engines are 4 cycle. No more mixing of oil although the manufacturer recommends fuel stabilizer. The extra money to step up to the 621 QZR series is worth it because the quick shoot is my favorite feature as there is no more bending over to adjust where you throw the snow. I have used it for two snows thus far and I am very happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product worth every penny! Despite a small amount of difficulty putting in the oil, (woman customer), the machine worked wonderfully. Had it operational before a 2 day 13" snow storm in Denver. Living on a large corner lot, the sidewalk, driveway, and path to the front door were cleared in under an hour! It was a lifesaver!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great snow thrower for its class I researched this for a long time. I was tempted to go with a bigger machine. For huge snows, I'll still pay to get plowed out. However, aside from horrible blizzards with super deep snow, this machine can do a great job. Delivery from HD was ridiculously quick, assembly took 5 minutes, it starts easily, and does a very good job. It clears all the way down to the pavement, throws farther than I had expected, and is small & convenient to store. The EZ chute control is a must-have. Glad I opted for a model with that feature. It makes directing the snow very easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toro Power Clear 621 QZR is an awesome machine Purchased this machine for my snow clearing business. Probably close to 12 hours on the machine thus far. It does clear snow down to the pavement....... even the compacted snow from the automobile tire tracks as long as the tracks have not started to ice up. Performs well in both wet slush and powder. More than enough power to do the job and uses very little gas. It starts with one pull of the rope and runs quiet. The quick zip turning shute is a timer saver and the deflector has many settings. I highly recommend this machine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! THE best single stage on the market Cut my snow clearing time at least in half compared to my big tracked 2 stage machine. Cleans right down to the concrete (you don't have to cleanup with the shovel afterwards), quick and nimble, pro-grade build, starts easily and runs smooth. The remote chute is the best in the industry on single stage machines - was going to buy the "red 621" equivalent - glad I didn't...this is better! And cheaper!
