Finally an easy to use two-stage snow blower. The Power Max 726 OE Two-Stage snow blower has many features to make your snow clearing job easy and yet is built tough to give you years of dependable performance. A breakthrough in snow blowing technology, the Power Max Anti-Clogging System (ACS) reroutes excess snow to prevent clogging and maximizes impeller speed and velocity. The Quick Stick control allows you to quickly and easily change chute direction and chute angle with one simple, integrated control. The 205 cc Briggs and Stratton engine is tough and durable for years of dependable use. It comes standard with electric start. The material of the auger gearbox gears are what matter, not the material of the gearbox housing. The special hardened gearbox gears are designed to withstand the highest of stresses and resist wear unlike softer competitive gears. The Power Max is also built with a unique one-piece frame for maximum strength. All others use a two-piece frame that has a weaker bolted joint right in the middle of the machine. The interlock system allows one-handed operation freeing the other hand to change speeds or the chute control without stopping. It has a 3 year limited warranty on the machine and engine and the chute, deflector, and ACS are guaranteed for life. Some assembly is required by the customer.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 77 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great! We planned to buy a smaller machine so I might be able to handle it easier but these were all sold out. The 26" Toro is however more the correct size for our property so a better investment for the long term. I found it quite manageable and everything works perfectly. Much less vibration and noise than my neighbour's model. I have not tried the electric starter but the manual starter works so well I do not want to be fussing with an electric cord. We had one light snow and one medium snow (20 cm) so far. Can't wait to try it on something bigger! February 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superb product Not sure the what last reviewer is talking about. No more or less traction than any other snowblower, no more or less steering capability than any other comparably sized blower. Initially I was concerned about 205 cc being enough but it has been plenty powerful. Have used it to move heavy snow and frozen chunks .....never sticks or clogs and throws snow further than my 10 horsepower mtd. Trust me people, I live in Edmonton....if anybody is going to be able to tell you about snowblowers, it is an Edmontonian. December 11, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the money I bought this snowblower to replace my 20 year old stalwart Toro. Very unimpressed by this model. It's small wheels offer practically no traction and hard to maneuver. Small plastic chute can not keep up with a moderate snowfall. Do your research when you plunk down $1100 of your hard-earned money! Extremely overpriced with no extra goodies (ie lights, handwarmer, etc.) December 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super machine Got this one one month ago.Tested it. Easy to assemble ( handle, chute), very easy to start plenty of power, very good traction Breaks up hard snow. Small chute but it's easy to control and does not clog. Good deal, it replaced my 36yo toro snow blower. Very happy! February 22, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Plastic snow shoot broke in the first season After reading many good reviews for the Toro Power Max 726, I expected it would be well made and very durable. I was disappointed after my 3rd use. I purchased this snow blower in January 2013. I used it about 3 times before the snow discharge shoot broke. I was more than a little disappointed since I had questioned how long a plastic discharge shoot would last. However, it had a sticker on it that said, "Guaranteed Forever". The discharge shoot broke directly behind the "Guaranteed Forever" sticker. See attached snap shot for reference. December 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Power, Easy To Use Features I purchased this unit when my 20 year old MTD failed during a snow storm that dropped 12" of wet snow. I researched the features of several brands and found the Toro to be the best for the cost. I have purchased Toro products in the past and found them to be worth the price because of the quality. The blower started very easy and tossed the snow 25-35 feet, did not bog down at all, maintained excellent traction. The ability to adjust the shoot completely from the drive controls was very handy. I live on a hill and generally try to clean the neighbors driveways and walkways, and see no problems with this machine handling any snows we get here in Minnesota. I recommend this product strongly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great blower I've only had the chance to use it twice but I love it so far. The first big snow of the season left about 8 inches of very wet heavy snow in the driveway and about a two foot high bank of the wet heavy stuff at the end of the driveway from the plow. The Toro handled the stuff in the driveway without a problem and I was very impressed with it's throwing distance. The only problem I had was with the bank at the end of the driveway where I wish it had a bit more power. On the other hand Toro will sell you a more powerful model and that bank was about the worst case scenario for me. The Toro got the job done; I just had to make smaller passes. It definitely would not be worth the money to get one with more power just for the few times I might need that. The other point is it definitely feels like it has more power than my old Yard Machines that was rated as an 8 HP under the old rating system. Throws farther and chews up the snow faster than the old machine. FYI this is clearing a 4 stall wide asphalt drivway and the Toro made short work of the 8 inches on the driveway itself. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This one works well. 'Nuff said. I was skeptical of the single-action joystick and the plastic anti-clogging chute system but, after having an Ariens and a MTD that love to clog in wet snow, I'm sold on this. The design works very well, even chewing up the heavier ice/snow combo stuff the plow leaves at the end of the driveway. The joystick set-up is slick and a breeze to use. I've only ran this machine one season, so the durability of the plastics hasn't been tested but it is a lifetime warranty on them and Toro is likely to be around for years to come. Other than that, it has started on the first pull each time, ran clean and spit out everything this winter has given it. I highly recommend this system if it's within your budget. March 9, 2013
