Finally an easy to use two-stage snowblower. The Power Max 826 OE Two-Stage Snowblower has many features to make your snow clearing job easy and yet is built tough to give you years of dependable performance. A breakthrough in snow blowing technology, the Power Max Anti-Clogging System (ACS) reroutes excess snow to prevent clogging and maximizes impeller speed and velocity. The Quick Stick control allows you to quickly and easily change chute direction and chute angle with one simple, integrated control. The 250 cc Briggs and Stratton engine is tough and durable for years of dependable use. It comes standard with electric start. The material of the auger gearbox gears are what matter not the material of the gearbox housing. The special hardened gearbox gears are designed to withstand the highest of stresses and resist wear unlike softer competitive gears. The Power Max is also built with a unique one-piece frame for maximum strength. All others use a two-piece frame that has a weaker bolted joint right in the middle of the machine. The interlock system allows one-handed operation freeing the other hand to change speeds or the chute control without stopping. It has a 3 year limited warranty on the machine and engine and the chute, deflector, and ACS are guaranteed for life. Some assembly is required by the customer.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 36 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Toro Power Max 826 OE Two-Stage Electric Start item arrived in a reasonable time and was easy to assemble. First snow, fired right up ran about 5 mins and quit. Quick prime, fired right up, blew some snow and quit. It quits under load or just sitting there. Changed plug and tried again, same thing, fresh gas. When it runs it does a decent job. Haven't got issue resolved yet. About 1 hour on a new machine and disappointed. I'm sure once it is repaired it will be fine. November 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by First Snowblower Went shopping for a snowblower last weekend and there wasn't anything good left. I looked for the 24" model of this model and was not able to buy it so got this one online. Delivery took 3 days and used it today to clear up that big mess of a storm we got 2 days ago. The blower performed extremely well. I managed to get rid of the plow's leftovers which were very wet and full of ice with ease. Blower came fully assembled, including oil. March 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Toro PM 826OE Snowblower I originally ordered online an Ariens Compact 24 Inch 2-Stage Sno-Thro Snowblower from HD, but due to a misunderstanding as well as miscommunication, between me and the HD call-center( after several phone calls all was remedied by the supervisor on duty, thanks Y**), I cancelled the order. I then bought a Toro 826. It is a 26 inch, compaired with the 24 inches of the Ariens, as well as it uses a 250cc B&S engine instead of the 205cc on the Ariens. Now I have only used it twice, after a couple inches of snow and then another storm of >12 inches, it works flawlessly. Lots of power and the pile of snow at the end of the driveway, left by the plow, was easliy blown out of the way. Speaking of blowing, it really launches the snow a good distance, but the control of the shute works as advertized. All in all, quite satisfied with the blower, but then again, this is my first snowblower, so I really can't compare it to another. However, sure beats shovelling, and I ain't getting any younger. Rated 5 out of 5 by Cuts through the snow like a hot knife in butter After reading all the info on the Toro site, and Home Depot customer reviews I ordered the 826. Delivery said 7 to 14 day. It actually took 21 business days for delivery. There was one easily fixed problem. When I first used it I noticed only one wheel was driving. I just happened to know what to check right away. The wheels were on the machine when I got it, so I never looked any closer before using it. But with only one wheel turning I looked at the wheel that wasn’t turning. It looked fine but I did notice the pin for holding the wheel was through the axle, but not through the rim. So the axle was free turning I blocked up the side of the machine, pulled the pin and reinserted the pin through a hole in the rim so the wheel was now locked to the axle, and had drive on it. I did not have to use any tools to do the fix. Other than that minor problem the machine runs well. Another nice feature is the muffler guard. I managed to wreck 2 pairs of gloves from touching against the hot muffler on a different machine, with the same engine, while looking for a non existent shut off switch, and fuel shut off. The Toro has a metal guard plate over the muffler, a throttle control with an off position, and a fuel shut off. I have only used it once in very wet heavy snow, but it handled it like a hot knife in butter. Toro you have made a very superior machine. February 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great SnowBlower This is a great machine. It was easy to put together (about 15 minutes). We have last years model at work so I have used the machine extensively. I was so happy to buy a machine with even more power. Shipping to my home was OK. The shipper did call up to set up a delivery time, but it was not as seamless as other shippers. However, the shipper said sidewalk delivery and they were good enough to put it on a dolly I set out and they even pushed it into my garage. My mother-in-law would not have been able to do so. All in all - a good experience. January 13, 2013
