Pretty straight forward, easy assembly. It comes with the oil included. The option of side discard is great! It started on the first try. Our yard had gotten quite long when the old mower crapped out. We live in Florida, so the grass grows very quick, as well as retains the moisture from everyday rain. We set it up at the medium blade height. We were quite impressed at how easily it got through the weeds and grass, even in the areas that were still damp. We have a good size back yard and it took less that 20 minutes to mow it. We were very impressed at the speed and ease of this mower. Highly recommend.

Purchased this product to replace its predecessor (same make and model) that's served me admirably for 14 years. The newer version as expected offers a few improvements. I was impressed with the ease of assembly of the new unit along with the fact that although manufactured last year and shipped from Mexico it started on the first single pull of the recoil starter cord. A minor detraction is I've noticed the self propel drive bar is slightly different than the former making it just a little harder to operate at least for me. The engine on this later version is different which actually is of little consequence as it runs equally as well.

I have had this lawn mower for less then a year, last season it ran great. Now it bogs down when cutting, clogs up through the side or rear exit, and stalls out on thick grass. I do the neccessary maintainance but it still can make it through a small lawn before dying. Again im going for a new blade and belt to see if it fixes the problem. Its very disappointing to spend over 300 dollars for a one year lawn mower.

I bought two of these (one for myself and in-law)at the same time. Attaching handle was quick and easy (just a couple screws). Both mowers fired right up ready to go on each use. Motor sound good. Very nice to stand behind, and let the front wheels do all the work. I was confused if we should get a rear-wheel or front-wheel. I decided front-wheel made the most sense. Just a slight tip of the mower onto the back wheels makes turns super easy to get to the next row. Very happy about the purchase, good price and easy to use. Last mower we bought only lasted two years so getting a different motor was the main goal.

I recently purchased my first home and had to buy a lawn mower. I started doing research, then noticed 2 neighbors using lawn service companies and both were using Toro. I walked across the street and when I asked about Toro, one of the men said, in broken English, "the best" and pointed at the Toro.
The big box store employee used a Toro and agreed with the lawn care worker. Well that was good enough for me.
Word of advise, pay a little extra and get the self-propel feature on any lawn mower that you purchase. You will not regret it

This is the easiest starting mower you could ask for, but it tends to loose power under load when mowing. Grass height of 6-7 inches is a struggle when using as a mulching mower and it leaves a mounded trail of grass in the yard that you'll have to rake up . Also, the grass catcher bag is small, which makes for more frequent stops to empty bag. If you have a small yard and mow often, this is a great mower (my yard is approx. 50' x 75'). But if you let the grass get a little high, better plan on taking some extra time to cut your lawn and rake up the clippings. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably buy a different mower with more power.

I purchased the lawn mower with the help of Wayne. The mower does a great job and starts on the first try!
