It was super easy to replace this spool in my electric trimmer. I was really surprised that there were no feed problems or a tangled mess.

I bought this as a backup, so I wouldn't have to stop and restring a spool in the middle of trimming the yard. I need to swap spools about every 2-3 times I do my yard, this makes it easy. I put 13 ft of trimmer line on each level (e.g. 2 x 13 ft). Very easy to restring. Takes about 5 mins (max). Ordered online and arrived at the store a few days early.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sirwayne Average Overpriced Replacement Spool
This Toro Replacement spool is not a stock item at Home Depot. Thus, I must order online and pick up at the store, which is inconvenience and time consuming. Furthermore, the price for the replacement spools is 1/3 more than what I use to pay for my old Black and Decker replacement spools. Home Depot should keep replacement spools "In Stock" at a reasonable price for all items that they sell.

What I really like about this replacement spool is there are two lines coming out of the spool, and plastic line is strong!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by cbedo16 replacement string for trimmer
The price for the replacement string at Home Depot compared well to other similar stores. The item took suprisingly long to arrive at my local Home Depot. However, I am pleased with both the product and the overall process. When opening the package and installing the replacement string I would recommend holding down both ends of the replacement string and feeding one piece of string through the trimmer at a time. Otherwise, you will have a tangled mess.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by ABayBoy Spool replacement is costly & frequent
The trimmer works satisfactorily, but when it comes to replacing the spool (after a little over an hour of use) it becomes costly. I paid about $60 for the trimmer and the spools cost over $10 each. So by the end of the summer I will have spent at least $30 on replacement spools! This is not good value.
Reminds me of cheap printers and the expensive replacement cartridges.

This spool does not last very long. I would prefer a longer and also thicker gauge.
