Customer Questions & Answers

Can you pick up at store ready to go mowing

Asked by: Rob
yes, for the most part. I bought a 42" Toro, brought it home, and started cutting. I bought a 50" Toro, brought it home, and started cutting but the deck was crooked. I did some investigating and realized that it had been put together incorrectly. The problem was that one bold was resting on top of the frame when it should have been under it. I was able to jack the deck up, remove the bolt, lower the deck, and re-install the bolt.

Can I tow a mower deck behind this machine?

I have a 60" Swisher towable mower deck which I have been towing behind a regular riding mower. Will this machine tow the mower deck which would give me a 100+ inch cut.
Asked by: Bob
Yes , has a tow hitch but is limited as to weight

Does this mower have a fuel gauge

Asked by: pdubpablo
Yes it does have a fuel quantity verification capability in other words it is not a typical fuel gage. To view the fuel level the operator must be on the ground. The mower cowling was formed with site access to the actual fuel tank just forward of the fuel tank cap.

TimeCutter 50 in. 24.5 HP V-Twin Zero-Turn Riding Mower with Smart Speed is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 392.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Timecutting Z Machine Overall it is a very good product, I could easily rated it excellent but it needs one or two extra horsepower. This time of year with all the rain we have been getting you can watch the grass grow. To keep the landscape looking good I keep one acre next to our home mowed and trimmed. The grass that is there and it is a grass not weeds is tough stuff! I have to go over it two or three times if I let it get too high. That is by design so not too much strain is put on the mower; besides it is a mower not a small tractor with a brush hog on it! I really like the speed adjustment feature it allowed my wife to get comfortable with the mower and lets me get in close to some hard mowing areas.

Handles great and leaves a great cut. I can see why it's called the Time Cutter. Once you get a little practice, very fine control can be obtained at the fastest speed settings. The control is very intuitive after about a half hour and it handles hills very well. I've only had it for about 3 weeks, but have been very satisfied after two uses. Cutting the grass has never been this fun before! 5 stars!

The first one the electric brakes locked up and it would not move. The brake bypass would relock itself when the engine was started. I had mowed less than two hours with it. I had it less than two weeks. The second one would not start after two hours of use. I had it less than a week. Home Depot was very cooperative and took both back. It seems Toro has some serious quality control issues on 2016 models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No bagger available , yet ! Sad, that this mower is so much fun to cut grass, it takes the sweat out of mowing. It used to take me some3 1/2 to 4 hours to cut my lawn. Now i can do all in 1 hour if i drive slow. So i practice cutting the lawn even if it looks like it needs it. I have been practicing on my daughters lawn also, thats another 3 hours, down to 1 hour! My first zero turn, so i keep ask myself , what took so long to get this toro.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worse purchase ever This was worse purchase we have made. We took home all happy, used it and the grass looked great the next week used it great again, on the third week its broke down, not a good thing. lucky we bought the extra warranty on it never thought we would actually have to use it before we were able to really use the mower. I'm sorry for the warranty dept as I feel this thing will be there I would not recommend this mower to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Review Overall I like the mower, works well. However, that was after an oil leak b/c the factory forgot to insert a plug into a port... and since the port threads were stripped, Kawasaki shipped a short block as a replacement. Also, the brake system/module is not working right.. local shop has a replacement ready, but a little disappointed that a key part does not work correctly on a piece of equipment that has been used only a few times.

Since I have previously used tractors there is a slight learning curve to operate a zero turn. It is a great time saver and looks good too. Controls are straight forward and easy to make changes. The twin cylinder engine has plenty of power, and the towing feature is a plus. All in all it was a great choice for me and probably would be for others.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from good sort of... Bought the mower on Sunday brought it home .Hooked up the battery, fueled up and started and ran like a champ.Did a great job on my lawn, cuts beautiful reduced my mowing time down a bunch. It did a good job.I enjoyed running it couldn't wait to use it again.Got on it tried to start it ,it just clanks.Makes a loud clicking noise. The battery is good checked it out unit appears to have a bad ground somewhere. So I'm taking my new mower back to the store to get a another one or a refund .I like the mower allot but I'm not waiting 4-6 weeks to have it repaired. Its new and has less then 1 hour of run time.I hope this is a fluke.
