Model 4235 Torro Timecutter KAW motor 42" has MSRP of $2,700.00. Your same model list for $2,999.00. Is the $299 over MSRP your profit margin? Can I get this mower from your store any closer to the $2,700.00 MSRP listed by Torro?

We recommend that this mower not be used on slopes greater than 15 degrees. For uneven ground, this deck should do a nice job of floating over the terrain.

Hi Al,
Your current tractor (LA135) will negotiate a steeper slope than a rear engine zero turn mower will. It is recommended to mow up and down on slopes greater than you can back up, however.
Mowing across steep slopes is dangerous and will result in uneven cutting because of the deck width. The deck protrudes out from the wheels, creating gouges in the lawn.

The zero turn has a wider stance, but should not be operated on slopes greater than 15 degrees. Here's a link to the operators manual with illustrations of this:

How does the Toro TimeCutter MX4260 work in soft wet conditions

About half my yard is very low, wet ground. The soil is really muck and not dirt. Never-the-less grass does grow on it and it needs to be mowed. Will the Toro TimeCutter MX4260 work okay in these conditions or will it bog down?

dont think it will do well in those conditions because of the speed and power it has. i had that same senario at my last house and i had to weed eat that area. it was too soft for even a push mower.

Answer:
Without actually seeing the property to which you are referring it is hard to determine the suitability of the Toro TimeCutter MX4260. Only you can assess the risk of getting bogged down in the mud; the Toro TimeCutter MX5060 may be a better choice because of the wider tires if the ground is merely soft, and not swampy.

Answer:
Hi Bill,
The weight of this Toro along with an operator is around 750 lbs. or more. Imagine a 200lb. person walking in the wet area. The square foot contact patch is similar to that of the mower.
If that person would leave footprints, the mower will leave ruts.

Answer:
The width of the tires are optimized to maximize trimmability and still provide great traction. The diameter is limited by the capacity of the transmission. It is designed to only accommodate a tire with a maximum diameter of 18”.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value Great mower. Probably more mower than I need for an acre but cuts mowing time to nothing. Past experience with Toro zero turn mowers aided in my selection of this mower. Very dependable. April 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is a great mower, wish I had bought a Toro 10 years ago If you pick up this mower from freight carrier be sure to have them load it with front of carton facing gate on your trailer, it will save a big head ache getting it out of box and off trailer. That being said everything else went very smooth setting it up. Be sure to check oil level, as mine was not at full mark to begin with. Added on mulch kit last week and getting ready to add stripping kit now that it has arrived. Be sure to order part # 121-5702 as this is stripping kit for fabricated deck. Mowing grass is no longer a major pain, in fact I kinda enjoy it now. September 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality of cut is impressive The MX4260 is a solidly built homeowner zero turn mower which has an impressive quality of cut. The engine is very powerful, yet smooth running. The fabricated deck gives the mower a more heavy-duty appearance and feel. The frame and steel components all seem thick and able to take a beating for a long time. Even though the mower is heavy-duty for a homeowner unit, it has a surprisingly small footprint, and fits easily into my shed with room to spare. The two-speed feature works great; I find that I tend to keep it in the slower speed. So far I'm very pleased with this mower. May 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TORO Great lawnmower. Great, great lawnmower. It's better than my Poulan PXT16542 steering wheel control mower!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product should last me till i'm gone! Bought this MX4260 machine because of the toro 212-5 lawn tractor I have owned for 22 years still runs great and looks good. I wanted to go to the zero turn machine and had the recycle kit installed which works very well. This mower is much quieter than I expected and took a little getting used to because I have never used a zero turn mower but it doesn't take long and it is very comfortable to use. I'm heading for 60 years old and expect this to last me until I'm gone!! November 18, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great mower but very lacking in ease of airing up front caster tires. This is a great mower but because of the problem with airing the front caster tires I can't give it a excellent rating. This is the short fall I have with it.I have contacted the dealer I got it from and the Toro Customer service and technical department and they are oblivious to handling my problem. The problem is the position of the valve stem on the front caster wheels are impossible to even check the air pressure and/Or add air to them. This is a design flaw and Toro will do nothing about it.It can be fixed by changing the caster bracket or a different type valve stem but they don't hear what I say.The dealer also will not listen. In order to air tire with ease you are better to take the axle loose and remove the tire and rim completely!!!! June 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mx4260 Purchased this mower and have 3 runs under my belt, I can say it puts a great cut on my yard. Mower is fast and shoots the grass out of the deck very hard. Mower also in my opinion is quieter than most mowers I have herd but that may be because it only has 2 blades, most mowers i have herd have 3 blades so that could be the reason. The Kawasaki engine should be a long runner, runs smooth and starts very easy. The mx series have some nice upgrades over the SS series, one being the heavy duty deck (think if you hit something at 7mph with a stamped deck it will probably dent) the welded deck comes with a big beefy steel lip to protect it. Seat has arm rests and comes with an hour meter, also you get a thick rubber floor mat and bigger engine and transmission. Overall very happy with my purchase and in my opinion you can't go wrong with a toro for a homeowner. September 10, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Mower First zero turn mower I have owned. It took just a few minutes to get used to the operation of the machine. I like the selection of lower or higher speed. The power is great and the cut was very good. I have used it just once but can't wait to mow again. The only problem is that winter is setting in and I may have to wait a while. November 15, 2014
