Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 39 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by I like this mower very much, quality is excellent. The mower is working out well. Need to use it more, but so far everything about it is great. August 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a great mower I should have bought this mower several years back! It usually took me 3.5 hours just to cut my grass. First time I cut it with my new Toro it took me 1.25 hours. I really enjoyed cutting the grass with this new mower. Still learning the zero turn but got the hang of it on first cutting. I hope this is my last mower! July 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Time Saver, Bit of a Learning Curve The quality of cut is excellent except that when "zero turning" the wheels took some divots out where the ground was moist. I tried the 3-point turn method on subsequent cuttings and seemed to have better results. The striping kit didn't seem to have the dramatic effect I hoped for, maybe it needs adjusting to work properly. The bagger worked fine, except it's hard to know when it's full, so you can empty them before the chute clogs. It's a long reach back to feel the bag's fullness, so I had to dis-assemble the chute to unclog it many times. Mowing without the bagger saves a lot of time. No emptying the bags or unclogging the chute. The side chute disperses the grass clippings evenly, so you can't even see them on the lawn. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and would recommend the MX4260 highly. July 12, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great mower but very lacking in ease of airing up front caster tires. This is a great mower but because of the problem with airing the front caster tires I can't give it a excellent rating. This is the short fall I have with it.I have contacted the dealer I got it from and the Toro Customer service and technical department and they are oblivious to handling my problem. The problem is the position of the valve stem on the front caster wheels are impossible to even check the air pressure and/Or add air to them. This is a design flaw and Toro will do nothing about it.It can be fixed by changing the caster bracket or a different type valve stem but they don't hear what I say.The dealer also will not listen. In order to air tire with ease you are better to take the axle loose and remove the tire and rim completely!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality of cut is impressive The MX4260 is a solidly built homeowner zero turn mower which has an impressive quality of cut. The engine is very powerful, yet smooth running. The fabricated deck gives the mower a more heavy-duty appearance and feel. The frame and steel components all seem thick and able to take a beating for a long time. Even though the mower is heavy-duty for a homeowner unit, it has a surprisingly small footprint, and fits easily into my shed with room to spare. The two-speed feature works great; I find that I tend to keep it in the slower speed. So far I'm very pleased with this mower. May 24, 2014
