Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Kevin Mowing deck detaches on one side and scalps lawn.
The deck can detach and it then scalps the lawn. There is a bar above the deck that connects to the frame and holds the deck at your predetermined cutting height. Somehow this U-shaped rear lift bar as it is called comes loose from the frame where it is held in place via pressure which then caused the deck to fall off of its hanger bracket on one side. The front of the bar can also come out of its holder and lead to scalping as well. That bar is a very weak feature of the design and it needs to be reviewed and corrected. This is a repeated problem and has happened nearly six times in the last year. I am always so happy when I get a friend and we crow bar the bar back into place. Also, the covers over the fan belt catch lawn clippings and require removal to clean out the pulleys. Just eliminate these or put some clean out holes in them. When I first bought this mower (about a year ago) I brought it back in 2 weeks for a new deck belt. I was told that the warrantee was not honored because I was using the mower too hard. It's up to you if you want to experience this mower. I am going to a commercial grade mower to save headaches. I only have 2.5 acres to mow.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ibjim I made a good choice.
I was a little concerned if I could handle it, but to my surprise it was easy. Took very little use to feel comfortable using. Great time saver and great cut.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JackW One of my Best purchases ever
Great machine has cut my mowing time in half. I had a craftsman 24hp , 54in cut riding mower, it was a good mower but took 4 hours to do my 6 acres. The Toro does it in two hours and there is less weed eating . It starts easily every time (I have over 150 hours on it ) and the deck wash is a great feature.
Two complaints, the heat plate under the exhaust fell partway off after a screw apparently vibrated out, the plate caught the ground and tore off from the other screw. The other issue I see others also posting, The trailer hitch should be included with this mower, not as a optional purchase after paying 4k you'd think they would include that $30 part. I made my own with a piece of angle iron and a 1/2 in drill bit .

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dahveed Product was great, delivery not so much
I'm giving the product a 5 star rating because the product is good. The "White Glove Delivery" you get with this product left some to be desired. I eventually decided its called white glove because these guys didn't get their hands dirty doing much assembly. Specifically, the gas tank wasn't full, the hitch wasn't installed, and the hand grips didn't line up. Now I finished these tasks, but I felt the White Glove part suggested that more would be done. A better name would be "half done" delivery and setup.
Also, I'm not sure why they give you a cup holder. You can't drive this and drink at the same time.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Steve Three year review
I don't really appreciate reviews are two weeks or six months after purchase. Too much can go wrong. That being said, I would buy another one of these tomorrow. I've had this mower for three years and I have had NO problems with it. It hasn't left those grass bails that my neighbor's mowers leave even when I miss a week and grass is tall. I cut a little less than an acre at home and about three acres on another property. The only thing I wish it had was larger rear tires. Still, a great machine.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Kman Cuts nice
Cuts nice, ran well for the first week, then wouldn't idle correctly. Went back to the local dealer for a week while the carburetor was re-adjusted. Really frustrating for a very expensive mower. When I called Toro they were not much help getting the mower quickly through the service dealer. Luckily it was a minor fix or I would have returned it and purchased something else. Don't get me wrong it appears to be well made and robust. So I need to give it some more time before the final opion is determined. I really like the features.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Leroy40 Piece of junk(I'm being nice)
Had this particular model for 3 years and it has been broken more often than it has worked. I have yet to cut my yard more than 5 times in a row without a major break down. The deck/drive belt assembly is made to break. I've been through 7 drive belts in the 3 years and have spent more on repairs than I did to purchase the mower initially. I'm now cutting my yard with my 10 year old Toro, do they're not all bad........just this model.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Puncho My toughest test resulted in an A+ for this machine!
I've had a John Deere front deck mower for years and decided to look at a zero-turn. After extensive research the Toro SS5060 looked like the best fit for my nearly two acres. After the first use I was impressed with the quality cut, comfort, and features (Smart Speed, deck lift, to name a few). My greatest mowing experience was yet to come. I decided to get a little more gutsy and test the limits of the machine. I tackled about a half and acre of overgrown grass/pasture the was knee to waist tall. I had not mowed this area for over five years. The Kawasaki chomped and disposed it like it was barely breaking a sweat! The engine didn't bog down at all! Just purred! My test was no test at all for this machine! This machine aced it. I look forward to many great years of mowing ahead!
