What a time saver! I was able to vac and mulch 25 bags of leaves into 6 garbage cans. The original bag attachment requires constant stopping to empty and is daunting on you back. This can attachment eliminates that. The only issue i had was a loose stitch on the strap and i pulled the hose free from the bags elastic grip twice. Solved stitch with a knot and loose elastic grip with a zip tie. The mulched leaves are a great size and should be used in beads, gardens,etc..

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Whiz The leaf collector needs a bit of upgrading.
A full 33 gal. can collector was included on a similar purchase about 10 years ago. When the leaf vacuum died, I pitched the entire unit. Wished I had saved the attachment. The current Toro attachment should be included in the package. The attachment had to be purchased and upgraded by me. The hose attached to the canvas constantly came loose. This was corrected by using strong tie bars to the canvas where the hose was attached. Also, the pull string holding the canvax to the can is very inadequate. I needed to use a strong bunji cord pulled tight around the can to hold the canvas to the barrel. Have used the vacuum minimal so far, leaf season will tell the tale.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ausinlady bags leaves well, hard to disconnect
This bag works well with my Toro blower/vac to contain the leaves sucked up through the vac tube and it's pretty easy to empty into most paper bags or containers. The plastic connector from the tube at the end of the bag to the vac tool is difficult to remove though. I have to hold down the release with two hands and use my feet to push it away and off of the vac tool. Reconnecting it is easy. Also, I'd like to be able to shorten the shoulder strap more than is allowed with the current design so that the full bag doesn't drag on the ground. This is not the perfect product for shorter people with smaller hands.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Coloradodoc Toro leaf vac collector gets it done
While the Toro Ultra lea vac/blower comes with a bag, being able to connect directly to a 55 gallon trashcan makes all the difference. What used to take 15 big bags now grinds directly into one bag in the trashcan.(Do not mistake this impressive compaction ratio to mulching - it does not mulch.)
If you are traversing uneven ground it is difficult to pull your rolling trashcan along without occassionally pulling the discharge hose from the top of the can. With someone to guide the trashcan and steady the hose, you can boogy right along and cut the leaf raking and pickup time by 90%.
For any medium to large size job, this attachment is worth its weight in gold.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by basseth53 Toro leaf collector
There are two problems with the collector, First is that the way it is made the mulched leaves are deposited in the area on the outside of the trash can where the collector's hood goes over the sides and fall on the ground when the collector is removed. The collector hood needs an extra piece of the material that can be placed inside the trash can preventing this from happening.
The second problem is that it is difficult to get the collector hood tight enough with the drawstring to hold it on the trash can when the leaf vacuum is turned on.

The reviews on both HomeDepot and Amazon were pretty much 50/50 so I decided to give it a shot. I bought it with the Toro Utility Bin so I'd have a collection system for cleaning up all the leaves. My experience lies firmly with all of the people who said it wasn't worth it. As the vacuum pressure builds within the bin during collection, eventually either the cover pops off the bin or the hose pops out of the cover. Either way is a leaf dusty mess. I tried securing the hose to the cover using a small bungee cord, which made it pop off less, but it still happened. I returned this the day I started using it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ausinlady Better with bag than can hookup
With a Toro Vac, the bag setup works well but it does get heavy on your shoulder and it's not easy to empty when full plus there's lots of dust. The mesh top comes loose from the trash can too easily or doesn't seal well and the leaves blow out of the can. It's also hard to move the can with the vac still attached. Using the mesh with a plastic, collapsible can works better but the vac efficiency is reduced as the can fills and pressure increases. I like the idea of this system, but it's not perfect. It still beats raking and bending over to scoop up and put leaves in a trash bag.

Got a heads up from previous negative reviews. A bungie cord to hold on container and I had no problems - much easier than using a bag slung over my shoulder. Just need to get used to the fact that suction suffers once the container is completely full.
