DVD/VCR Combo with Line In-DISCONTINUED is rated 2.2 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from An overpriced DVD/VCR with nothing needed for tv show taping I guess, now makers of these no longer make them so you can hook in your cable and record shows while you are have to now buy the seperate modulator and why bother...I mean why else would you buy something like this...It was not mentioned in the details so if you do not have a DVR or cable box and you have the plain old fashioned cable hookup - save your money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works.. Elderly person needed something that played VHS tapes and the Toshiba unit did the job. I saw the one review where they dinged the unit because the DVD quit playing ... what did you expect - DVD players are cheap and it's a dying format. This unit did a good job. If you have a thousand VHS tapes and need something to play them on --- this works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Brand for DVD/VCR. I love the Toshiba brands, they make them very well. This DVD/VCR is exactly what I was needing and it works very well. Was easy to hook up and easy to use. I ordered it online, the process is smooth and was received in just a few days.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dreadful DVD Disk Player I have several dvd/vcr players and other dvd playing machines. Perfectly good disks that work in other machines stop playing or cannot be loaded to play in this machine SD-V296. Manual does not provide any help for this problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worst ever Wow I can't even put "6ad" in here because it's "inappropriate" Worked for less than a year and then the DVD player quit working. I don't care if you say that DVD players aren't the best or you should expect that. You should NOT expect a DVD player to quit working before a few years. I've gotten 9 years out of a DVD player used everyday. So that's a terrible excuse. Picture quality wasn't great either for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I had a Toshiba DVD VCR combo player that was damaged so I expected this Toshiba to be of similar quality but was terribly disappointed. The picture quality, the ease of use, the functions, everything was disappointing

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Toshiba DVD/VCR Combo I was impressed with the overall product as it can even play a dvd and a tape simultaneously, but it does only have a RCA connection for the VCR. With any newer television that's not a problem however to tape after June 12th it would require a digital converter. I just got it to play tapes so it works great for me and it plays the DVDs through RGBs/component connections which are good quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toshiba dvd/vcr combo, television I have or have had the above 2 items and they both worked perfectly, I still use by television and just recently my dvd/vcr combo went out and I am getting ready to order a new one. I also have a blue-ray player by Toshiba. So to me Toshiba is there when you need it and others just don't even get it. Dee
