STACK-ON has more then exceeded my expectations of delivering a top quality Gun Safe to my front door. You can feel the sturdiness and toughness of this safe the first time you dial the smooth working combination, turn the handle, and pull the heavy steel door open. I was pleasantly pleased with the vast number of storage compartments and handgun holders available on the inside of the door. Installing the shelving was effortless and each one secured simply in place. This was a Christmas Gift from my wife and I can't imagine a better safe for me,....or a better wife! Thank You Home Depot!! P,S, The Poodles think this is the best storm shelter EVER!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jayson3607 Awesome and very much needed
I researched these for a year and decided on this safe. I haven't regreted my decision yet. I love the turn dial combo lock. The electric ones have a master key that anyone could have so there was no way I'd do that. It's is super heavy so get some help moving it in. But once it's in the weight is a great security feature in itself. Well built amd nice interior. Awesome door pouches. Overall well worth it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MizzouFan best bang for the buck safe you are going to find
I caught it on sale (roughly $785) shipped to my house (free curbside shipping). This thing is VERY heavy. Be prepared with an appliance handtruck, and a strong helper. Be extremely careful if you are planning to take this upstairs. Actually, I can't imagine trying to get it upstairs. You better leave that type of moving to a pro. Fireproof/waterproof and plenty of room for my collection ....I am happy with the purchase. My guns are secured from my kids, and burglars would have a heck of time getting into this safe.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Turk I love the rotary combo lock feature, overall exellent..
Very disappointed in the condition of interior carpet padding, not that well secured and had black glue all over it and it's not cleanable. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star.. Homedepot was absolutely wonderful throughout this process. Very, very helpful..

This is a great gun safe. I don't think it really holds 28 guns, unless they are all pistols/hand guns. The delivery took a long time, but it was free, so I can't really complain. I would recommend it

I like that you can arrange the shelves the way you need them and the sleeves on the door are a plus.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Florida It's A Gun Safe that seems pretty safe!
This safe is appealing on the outside, so you won't have to hide it in an inconspicuous place. It's big! And it's heavy, about 550 pounds empty. You will need extra, extra help in getting it up any number of stairs or up a ramp, as it is extremely deadweight heavy.
As far as the overall quality and build, it looks and feels like a secure safe on the outside. But on the inside, it seems a little cheap and flimsy. You can tell that corners were cut in doing the inside. But since I won't be living in it, I can live with it because it's still safe and secure, which is what I am after.
Now how anyone can fit as many rifles or shotguns inside as advertised is beyond my figuring. At best, maybe 8 will fit - and that's stretching it heavily without adding ammo or accessories. But hand guns will find their niche quite spaciously. I also store important documents and other valuable items on the shelves, which are small and narrow but doable.
It's a decent purchase item with quicker than normal shipping and delivery, which was great for me. If you are like me and don't want to deal with any electronic issues reported with electronic keyless entry, then you will want to order the oldschool rotary lock. It takes a little getting used to, but after you're there it's a cinch. But there shouldn't be a life or death situation where you have to open your safe in order retrieve your defense weapon, because you would normally have one that is always accessible in an emergency.
