Answer:
Good Morning Donita,
The answer is yes! The filter system, is designed for fish! The bio media balls inside gather up natural bacteria in their grooves, making the pond water healthy and natural for fishes. The more filtration you have in the water, the better it is for fishes.

Absolutely!! We have had 6 Comets and 1 plecco for well over a year in our 220 Gallon pond while running this filter/pump with the sprinkler 24/7. How to keep water clear

This question is from Complete Filter Kit with 300-GPH Pond Pump

June 25, 2013
Hello, Thanks for the previous answer. I have now been running this pump/filter 22 hours a day for the past 3 weeks but the water is not yet fully clear. Water is clean and does not smell but just not clear. My pond is only 18 inches deep but I cannot see my gold fish unless they swim to the surface! I even tried 'Total Pond water clarifier' yesterday but of no avail. I clean the filter ever 3 or 4 days and there is some green moss each time. I have attached a photo of my pond for your review. I have about 6 small fish which look like Gold fish. Any suggestion welcome! Thanks in advance

Answer:
The filter helps promote beneficial bacteria with the bio balls and also helps filter out debris or fish food and waste. It won't solely be able to keep your pond clear. I would recommend getting the Total Pond Sludge Remover and use it with the water clarifier; both work well together. I hope this helps.

Also, go to a fish store and talk to an expert there. That's how I get my information. Good luck!

I live in Aurora, IL.
I am looking at a very approximate range like: 10$ a month or $50/month or $100 plus/month.
Not looking for a precise amount. I have a small 150 gallon pond with fish in it. Thanks!

On an average the MD11300 will cost $1.53 to run for a month. Again this is a country average so it may be different.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy set up We had to move our fish to our new house and needed a quick pool and filter for them - bought a stock tank and this filter kit. Filter kit and pump set up without tools. The power cord is long enough to reach my existing electrical outlet. For your safety, always use a GFCI outlet. "BioBalls" were included in the kit for harboring beneficial bacteria. An adjustable diverter valve was also included in kit to run water to additional item like my turtle "spitter". Works well enough that I am planning to move it to a permanent water feature later on. Water is 14" deep in the picture. August 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Showering Fish Pond This filter and pump will be working 7 days a week 24hrs a day year after year. The last one lasted 4 years and this one has been improved a little. Like the rolled top and the size is perfect for a 85 gallon pond. I was surprised that it only came with the one shower head but I have the other sprayers from the old one that interchange for a variety of sprays. Easy to assemble and easy to clean when the time comes. June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by so far so good works great easy to assembly fast delivery so far so good just installed it this day. July 20, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by small backyard pond The only problem I have with it is it is not as powerful as I thought it would be. June 11, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Works fairly well, flow rate seems to be off a bit, fiter change can be messy since its submersed. The first course pad needs to be cleaned daily and its hard to get the unit out of the water without emptying all sorts of debris and old food, etc into the pond or tank, gotta be careful. The flow rate does not seem to be as advertised even with clean filter media. More like 150 to 200 gallons per hour. February 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Filter kit for 300 GPH pond pump I wanted something that was filter and water spray in one so I didn't get so wet installing it. This product done an excellent job keeping my yard pond clean and the water spray is beautiful. Thank you. May 5, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Works, but a constant struggle Was easy to put together. However, the filter box is too light. I've had it about 2 weeks now. Within each 48 hour period, it has tilted, causing me to lose water from my pond. Today, I've removed some of the balls from the inside & put a rock in. Hopefully, that will be enough weight to keep it from shifting. May 16, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good quality!!! love my new fountain My son installed it in about an hour...had to change some pipes because our pipes were too small... December 10, 2014
