Rated 1 out of 5Â by TBriarcliff Bear proof for a year - now just a lunch box
Well, after having my year old bear-proof can compromised three times in as many weeks, I decided to test it myself. It only took a minute to open - just tip it over and let it hit the ground with some force and the lid pops right open. structurally, I've seen 300 pound bears jump on it and drag it into the woods 100 feet from my house, but just tipping it makes it open. I'm going to reach out to the manufacturer now, but doubt there will be any thing they can do. Way too pricey to fail after a year. Try something else...

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Dave It works like advertised!!!
A bear knocked over, then dragged the trash can about 25 feet on a paved driveway before giving up. The trash stayed in the can - and the bear moved on to one of our neighbors who does NOT have one of these cans.
It's great to wheel the trash can back in place and NOT pick up trash all over the yard.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Barry Well made, but inspect the latch before taking it home.
This can is made from pretty thick plastic material with a steel armor around the lid. The hinge area may prove to be its Achilles heal, but time will tell. One thing I did notice in the store is several cans would not latch properly when you close them. Make sure to exercise the latch several times and make sure it works before taking a can home.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by DaveH Bear Proof Cart from Home Depot
Home Depot is great, I buy everything thru this company whenever possible but this bear proof can just did not do the trick so I am returning it. The bear broke thru after the 2nd attempt. This can looked very similar to another company I saw called Bearicuda but it wasn't. Bearicuda has something called the Stealth Can which I currently have and worked out great. No worries, just glad I was able to return it.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by AMZ22 TOTER beats 400lb BEAR
Twice the local 400lb bear has attempted to get our trash in the last couple of weeks. Neighbors witnessed the bear tossing it in the air and dragging it down the street and it has given up both times. There are scratches on it now but looks really good given what it has been through. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you have bear problems. AMAZING
