I had been having consistent problems with the old toilet that was in the house I bought 2 years ago. I finally decided to replace it, did some research and came across this one. It had great reviews on various websites, so I decided to buy it. It arrived on time and in great condition. I have never replaced a toilet before, and had my mom (who also had never done it before) help me install it. Only one slight issue--it seems like the tank doesn't sit on the bowl very securely. We had issues getting it aligned properly during the installation. Make sure you have a level on hand for the job too! I couldn't find mine, so we used a book and a glass of water in lieu of the missing level. It worked well enough, and we got it installed correctly on the first shot (no leaks!). Overall, this was a fantastic purchase, and I will be buying a second one now for the basement bathroom! You can't beat the quality, value, and performance at this price! It has such a quick and powerful flush, but not loud--just whoosh! and it's gone. All of it. I've seen toilets cost twice this price and only flush half the job. I love it, and highly recommend to others. Don't forget to buy a lid too, it doesn't come with one.

We were looking for a toilet for our half bath. Due to limited space we had to find a toilet with the right dimensions to replace a toilet that was over 40 years old. The Toto Drake 2-Piece fit perfectly. I like how this toilet flushes with such force and suction. It reminds me of many commercial toilets that you would find at airports or hotels. The fact that we are using a fraction of the water compared to our old toilet is amazing. I would highly recommend purchasing this toilet and I am going to purchase another one for our other bathroom because I like it so much.

I needed to replace a 50-year-old no-name toilet that could barely flush wet toilet paper and was prone to clogging. While researching, I came across Terry Love's site about the Toto Drake, and had the opportunity to use one. You have to see this toilet in action to be impressed. Fast flush, _everything_ goes in one flush, and it doesn't use the full tank capacity. I would estimate the toilet uses 1 gallon max. You can use the full tank by holding down the handle, but that would be a bowful of ick.
Quick note, you don't have to buy Toto's replacement innards...Korky makes all of Toto's tank innards, and can be found at Home Depot.
At $200, it's comparable (price-wise) to any other brand toilet. Perfmance-wise, it's light-years ahead.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Theresa I Love This Toilet!
I was replacing a water-guzzling, 37-yr.-old toilet and wanted something that used a small amount of water. I've had the Drake in for about 3 months now, and I love it. I make all my guests go flush it, even if they don't have to use it! It handles solid waste like buttah, and I love the vacuum flush. The bowl never seems to get dirty. My boyfriend and brother-in-law installed it with no problem. I used a regular wax ring. The tank lid is domed a little bit, but who cares? I'm not one to put a lot of junk in my bathroom anyway. I liked it so well that I bought a second one to put in my other bathroom. I would recommend it (and I do) to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by TomC Compact, Low-Flow Toilet Lives Up to Billing
Installation was easy. A leaky wax ring gave my wife and me the occasion to remove an older Eljer "low-flow" (1.6 gpf) toilet that regularly failed to clean itself following a flush.
I would say that this toilet reduces that problem, common to many low-flow toilets, by 80-90% in our experience. It also eliminates all the whooshing and gurgling whirlpool action; instead, the load to be flushed quickly and quietly drops into the discharge pipe and disappears with little fanfare. I don't really miss the floor show...
This is a fairly compact toilet, which would be especially handy where space is at a premium. But it is comfortable for any user and practical for any situation.
Strictly an opinion: This is billed as requiring 1.6 gpf, but it appears to use MUCH less water than did the Eljer unit, mentioned above, which claimed the same water usage.
