I read through many reviews of this product. Most complained of the kits not coming close to meeting the stated coverage. So, for my ~170 ft2 skylights-in-the-attic project, I went ahead and got 2 of the 200ft2 kits(should cover my 170 ft2 a little over 2 inches deep). Once starting I sprayed almost continually and only changed nozzles once. When all was said and done, I've got at least 3.5 inches of coverage. It was plenty warm when I applied. The only reason it is not 5 star is the price. Lessons learned:
1) The coverage was about as advertised.
2) Get a Tyvek suit and good respirator (I used both).
3) It is hot in an attic in Northern Virginia in June.

I followed instructions to the letter and all conditions were good for application, yet after the product dried, it crumbled at the touch instead of being the proper consistency. Also, the coveragecoverage seemed noticeably less than advertised. Would advise others to consider other brands.

Overall i am happy with how this turned out. I have a 90 year old rowhouse and am renovating the basement into a living area. I mostly wanted to apply this product to exterior brick walls and places where ceiling and rim joists meet brick. This foam kit was easy to get up and running and performed as expected. I can already tell drafts have been reduced and it got quieter down there. Odor wasn't bad but I had windows open and a respirator while i applied it. It dries very quickly and was easy to remove from surfaces that i dripped on when dry. Make sure you prep beforehand as you really want to finish the job quickly once you start as the nozzle can get gewy. I think i swapped out the wide spray nozzle 3 times in all. Id like to see the price come down a little. I would probably have bought 2 of these instead of 1 if they were less than $300.00.

I wanted to like this product, but I can't.
I live in Maine. And the product's fire block does not meet code here.
In Maine, when spray-foam is applied to habitable or occupiable spaces, it must have an approved 15 minute thermal (or ignition) barrier. The Maine Fire Marshall has released a memo stating which thermal barriers are approved. This product's fire block did not make the cut.
Is this the case elsewhere? I don't know. But it is important to check, because if it's not and you need to purchase and apply a separate thermal barrier, the project's price will go up significantly.

Worked well for me as I was insulating rim joist in basement in areas that were hard to reach (electrical wires and pipes were in the way). I couldn't reach areas to install insulation board but this product allowed me to reach in tight spots and shoot insulation where I needed it. I would have given this product 5 stars if it wasn't priced so high. I feel it's a little over priced compared to bids I got from professional spray foam companies.

Do not buy this foam! Things can go terribly wrong as the manufacturer puts too little catalyzing/setting agent as compared to the polyurethane foam. The result is a wall cavity full of oozing glue that will not set. This is a horrible mess and disaster. You would think they would over provision the catalyst?? Awful Awful result.

I was questionable about using the product, concerned about the amount of space it would cover, smell, and possible mess it would make. 1. I used two kits because a larger kit was not available when I went to purchase to cover a 50 b 50 base ceiling joists and in case I did not like the product I could stop with a return of half my purchase. 2. I searched the web and found that there were issue with the smell in industrially applied foam. After applying the smell of paint odor was gone within hrs. of venting the basement. 3. With a little preparation can be limited. I cleared the area where I would be working to easily move the latter and I placed the spray kit on a flat cart so it rolled with me as I moved. I also pre placed the nozzles on the box so it was less time to replace them as they clogged. If any spray hit the ground of anywhere it did not belong, it is easily removed with a scrapper and shop vac. Over all I am extremely satisfied with the application; I only now realize how much heat was lost through the daft in the our basement.
