Answer:
1/2" thick drywall is suitable to be hung on a wall with studs no more than 24" oc. For a ceiling, do not exceed 16" oc for stud/joist spacing. If you do need to exceed 16" oc spacing on a ceiling, use 5/8" thick drywall.

I have a teenager that likes to punch holes in the wall when he gets angry, (not really his fault) Is this a good choice for me? Need to replace almost all of the sheetrock in our house. Thought about putting OSB behind normal 1/2 inch sheetrock, but then I would need to redo all my window jams ect.

Answer:
If you looking for something that would not cause injury, then this would be the best choice. putting OSB behind sheet rock is also a good when your looking for the least expensive way to strengthening walls. I have a son with anger issue, I took him to gym at let him take his frustration out on a punching bag when possible.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by The Kid is not qualified to rate this product. Product is just a dense core sheet with thicker paper face. Not really worth the effort or cost unless you are going to cover with commercial style vinyl wallpaper. Or to quote the uber articulate reviewer, UH rock hard to use with primitive caveman mind ugh fire bad!. February 28, 2014
