Can this be installed over the top of a painted concrete floor?

The existing floor is peeling, etc. which is the cause of our interest in this product. We're looking for something that can be installed on top of the existing floor without having to remove the paint, etc.

Answer:
I did not see anything in the instructions about this other than you must have a solid surface for the adhesive to stick to. The glue is only as good as what ever it is sticking to.
I would have to suggest something else. You may be looking at sheet vinyl or rated laminate flooring. Find out why it is peeling (moisture, oil, bad paint, etc)

Answer:
You might want to remove as much of the paint as possible. If the paint turns loose of the floor and the tile is stuck to the paint the tile will begin to separate from the floor.

Answer:
I would recommend using one of the Allure Ceramic patterns in this situation. The Ceramica product would need to actually adhere to the floor, Allure is free floating and will be fine over peeling paint.

That would be a shame, but I love wood and I do understand that not all of it can look good.
It is most important that the floor be smooth. If it is smooth, just wipe it down per the instructions and you win. If not the glue can only do so much to bridge low spots, and will not stick. If it is too bad, you will hate how it looks and it will start to come up. You can use a liquid leveler that can be mixed

It is not the easiest diy project, but it works well. Then sweep and stick.
Good luck

It does have some silvery areas on it, but looking at the installed floor, It just adds a bit of brightness to it.
I think that keeps it from looking dull.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Floor Upgrade This was the fourth ceramic floor that I installed. Turned out really good in master bathroom. Used a diagonal brick pattern and sandstone premix grout. Great product, easy to install, durable and fair price. January 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very good quality, looks like ceramic tile. I used this tile months ago in my back hallway from the kitchen to the basement. Very good quality. Just recently installed it in my enclosed front porch, what a nice difference it made. Highly recommend it. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by beautiful product My daughter and I installed this tile in a bathroom in one day. It is beautiful and went down very easiily. I I love the way it looks and most definetly would reccommend it July 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Tile I pulled up sheet vinyl to install the Trafficmaster Ceramica tiles in 2 bathrooms and a laundry. I like sheet goods better, but the quality is going down every year. it has been 30 years since I used any stick tiles, and these are so much better than the old ones. As with any floor product, the area MUST be clean. Any junk on the floor will not let the tile sit flat. The surface on this tile is hard and did not mark from anything yet. (it is vinyl after all). The glue could be a little more aggressive, but it works fine. It is a little slower than I expected when I first felt it. Make sure to keep the seams tight if you do not plan to grout. Use a sealer kit from Armstrong for the seams to keep water and dirt out of the seams and you will have a good looking floor that anyone that can use a knife or tin snips can install. March 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect solution for our front hall. I installed Ceramica in my mother's house without grout and was impressed with the quality and thickness of the tile. I ordered the Pearl Gray that was a close match to my kitchen laminate floor and installed it over old 8" gray ceramic in the front foyer then used Simple Grout. It looks great and I'd dare anyone to recognize it as vinyl, even close up. Knowing how thick it is to cut with a utility knife, which we did at my mother's house, my husband used a band saw here and it was a breeze. Planning the installation to include grout lines took a little extra time, since I hadn't done it before, as did the grouting itself. But the results are definitely worth it. February 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great, haven't installed it yet The tile looks very similar to tile we installed in the past that cost a lot more. We will be using it in a bathroom. February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice product We put this in our kitchen and den area, which is approximately 275 sq. ft. and it looks fantastic! If I didn't know that it was peel and stick then I would definitely think it was real ceramic tile. We grouted it with linen colored grout to pull out the tans and I think that really helped. Like other reviewers said, it is not a true grey, but more mottled tan and beige with kind of a silvery sheen over the top of it. Installation was straight-forward and easy, but since we had so much area to cover doing the tile and grout took about 13 hrs for my husband and me to do. After installation there were a few tiles that weren't sticking perfectly in corners of the room, but grouting them has made them stay firmly in place. I'm hoping it holds up well (I think it will!) and for now I am very pleased. January 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great flooring and very inexpensive We installed this in our bathroom and love it. Looks like real tile - never would guess it was an affordable alternative. We grouted this tile to make it look more authentic. Very easy to install and to cut (we used either a large snips or razor blades). We've already recommended this product to others. January 24, 2014
